Copyright 2017 Lee Giles ISBN-13: 978-1544821962 ISBN-10: 1544821964 Scripture quotations taken from the New American Standard Bible, Copyright 1960, 1962, 1963, 1968, 1971, 1972, 1973, 1975, 1977, 1995 by The Lockman Foundation Used by permission. (www.lockman.org)

Day 1 Jesse was the father of David the king. Day 2 And Joseph her husband, being a righteous man and not wanting to disgrace her, planned to send her away secretly. 3

Day 3 Gathering together all the chief priests and scribes of the people, he inquired of them where the Messiah was to be born. Day 4 So Joseph got up, took the Child and His mother, and came into the land of Israel. 4

Day 5 For a child will be born to us, a son will be given to us; And the government will rest on His shoulders; And His name will be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Eternal Father, Prince of Peace. Day 6 But John tried to prevent Him, saying, I have need to be baptized by You, and do You come to me? 5

Day 7 Then Jesus was led up by the Spirit into the wilderness to be tempted by the devil. Day 8 From that time Jesus began to preach and say, Repent, for the kingdom of heaven is at hand. 6

Day 9 Jesus was going throughout all Galilee, teaching in their synagogues and proclaiming the gospel of the kingdom, and healing every kind of disease and every kind of sickness among the people. Day 10 Therefore if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creature; the old things passed away; behold, new things have come. 7

Day 11 Let your light shine before men in such a way that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father who is in heaven. Day 12 Truly I say to you, you will not come out of there until you have paid up the last cent. 8

Day 13 Nor shall you make an oath by your head, for you cannot make one hair white or black. Day 14 Give to him who asks of you, and do not turn away from him who wants to borrow from you. 9

Day 15 And you shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your mind, and with all your strength. Day 16 Beware of practicing your righteousness before men to be noticed by them; otherwise you have no reward with your Father who is in heaven. 10

Day 17 For if you forgive others for their transgressions, your heavenly Father will also forgive you. Day 18 Do not store up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moth and rust destroy, and where thieves break in and steal. 11

Day 19 But if your eye is bad, your whole body will be full of darkness. If then the light that is in you is darkness, how great is the darkness! Day 20 Our Father who is in heaven, hallowed be Your name. Your kingdom come. Your will be done, on earth as it is in heaven. 12

Day 21 So do not worry about tomorrow; for tomorrow will care for itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own. Day 22 Why do you look at the speck that is in your brother s eye, but do not notice the log that is in your own eye? 13

Day 23 Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you. Day 24 Beware of the false prophets, who come to you in sheep s clothing, but inwardly are ravenous wolves. 14

Day 25 Give us this day our daily bread. And forgive us our debts, as we also have forgiven our debtors. And do not lead us into temptation, but deliver us from evil. Day 36 And they cried out, saying, What business do we have with each other, Son of God? Have You come here to torment us before the time? 15

Day 37 And they brought to Him a paralytic lying on a bed. Seeing their faith, Jesus said to the paralytic, Take courage, son; your sins are forgiven. Day 38 When the Pharisees saw this, they said to His disciples, Why is your Teacher eating with the tax collectors and sinners? 16

Day 39 He said, Leave; for the girl has not died, but is asleep. And they began laughing at Him. Day 40 Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and forever. 17

Day 41 Jesus summoned His twelve disciples and gave them authority over unclean spirits, to cast them out, and to heal every kind of disease and every kind of sickness. Day 42 And whatever city or village you enter, inquire who is worthy in it, and stay at his house until you leave that city. 18

Day 43 But whenever they persecute you in one city, flee to the next; for truly I say to you, you will not finish going through the cities of Israel until the Son of Man comes. Day 44 Are not two sparrows sold for a cent? And yet not one of them will fall to the ground apart from your Father. 19

Day 45 Then he said to his disciples, The harvest is plentiful, but the laborers are few; therefore pray earnestly to the Lord of the harvest to send out laborers into his harvest. Day 46 When Jesus had finished giving instructions to His twelve disciples, He departed from there to teach and preach in their cities. 20

Day 47 Truly I say to you, among those born of women there has not arisen anyone greater than John the Baptist! Yet the one who is least in the kingdom of heaven is greater than he. Day 48 At that time Jesus said, I praise You, Father, Lord of heaven and earth, that You have hidden these things from the wise and intelligent and have revealed them to infants. 21

Day 49 But when the Pharisees saw this, they said to Him, Look, Your disciples do what is not lawful to do on a Sabbath. Day 50 Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For My yoke is easy and My burden is light. 22

Day 51 All the crowds were amazed, and were saying, This man cannot be the Son of David, can he? Day 52 If Satan casts out Satan, he is divided against himself; how then will his kingdom stand? 23

Day 53 Then some of the scribes and Pharisees said to Him, Teacher, we want to see a sign from You. Day 54 Someone said to Him, Behold, Your mother and Your brothers are standing outside seeking to speak to You. 24

Day 55 Do not fear, for I am with you; do not anxiously look about you, for I am your God. I will strengthen you, surely I will help you, surely I will uphold you with My righteous right hand. Day 56 And the disciples came and said to Him, Why do You speak to them in parables? 25

Day 57 And the one on whom seed was sown on the good soil, this is the man who hears the word and understands it; who indeed bears fruit and brings forth, some a hundredfold, some sixty, and some thirty. Day 58 But while his men were sleeping, his enemy came and sowed tares among the wheat, and went away. 26

Day 59 He spoke another parable to them, The kingdom of heaven is like leaven, which a woman took and hid in three pecks of flour until it was all leavened. Day 60 Do not store up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moth and rust destroy, and where thieves break in and steal. But store up for yourselves treasures in heaven for where your treasure is, there your heart will be also. 27

Day 71 Six days later Jesus took with Him Peter and James and John his brother, and led them up on a high mountain by themselves. Day 72 As they were coming down from the mountain, Jesus commanded them, saying, Tell the vision to no one until the Son of Man has risen from the dead. 28

Day 73 Then the disciples came to Jesus privately and said, Why could we not drive it out? Day 74 At that time the disciples came to Jesus and said, Who then is greatest in the kingdom of heaven? 29

Day 75 Finally, brethren, whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is of good repute, if there is any excellence and if anything worthy of praise, dwell on these things. Day 76 If your brother sins, go and show him his fault in private; if he listens to you, you have won your brother. 30

Day 77 Then Peter came and said to Him, Lord, how often shall my brother sin against me and I forgive him? Up to seven times? Day 78 And his lord, moved with anger, handed him over to the torturers until he should repay all that was owed him. 31

Day 79 Then some children were brought to Him so that He might lay His hands on them and pray; and the disciples rebuked them. Day 80 Jesus said, "Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these." 32

Day 81 They said to him, Because no one hired us. He said to them, You go into the vineyard too. Day 82 Take what is yours and go, but I wish to give to this last man the same as to you. 33

Day 83 Then the mother of the sons of Zebedee came to Jesus with her sons, bowing down and making a request of Him. Day 84 As they were leaving Jericho, a large crowd followed Him. 34

Day 85 Be kind and compassionate to one another, forgiving each other, just as in Christ God forgave you. Day 86 Now in the morning, when He was returning to the city, He became hungry. 35

Day 87 Seeing this, the disciples were amazed and asked, How did the fig tree wither all at once? Day 88 When the harvest time approached, he sent his slaves to the vine-growers to receive his produce. 36

Day 89 When the chief priests and the Pharisees heard His parables, they understood that He was speaking about them. Day 90 O LORD, You are my God; I will exalt You, I will give thanks to Your name; for You have worked wonders, plans formed long ago, with perfect faithfulness. 37

Day 91 Those slaves went out into the streets and gathered together all they found, both evil and good; and the wedding hall was filled with dinner guests. Day 92 Tell us then, what do You think? Is it lawful to give a poll-tax to Caesar, or not? 38

Day 93 When the crowds heard this, they were astonished at His teaching. Day 94 No one was able to answer Him a word, nor did anyone dare from that day on to ask Him another question. 39

Day 95 And looking at them Jesus said to them, "With people this is impossible, but with God all things are possible." Day 106 For nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom, and in various places there will be famines and earthquakes. 40

Day 107 Whoever is on the housetop must not go down to get the things out that are in his house. Day 108 For just as the lightning comes from the east and flashes even to the west, so will the coming of the Son of Man be. 41

Day 109 Then there will be two men in the field; one will be taken and one will be left. Day 110 He who testifies to these things says, Yes, I am coming quickly. Amen. Come, Lord Jesus. The grace of the Lord Jesus be with all. Amen. 42

Day 111 Now while the bridegroom was delaying, they all got drowsy and began to sleep. Day 112 Immediately the one who had received the five talents went and traded with them, and gained five more talents. 43

Day 113 Then you ought to have put my money in the bank, and on my arrival I would have received my money back with interest. Day 114 When did we see You sick, or in prison, and come to You? 44

Day 115 Whatever you do, do your work heartily, as for the Lord rather than for men. Day 116 But the disciples were indignant when they saw this, and said, Why this waste? 45

Day 117 Being deeply grieved, they each one began to say to Him, Surely not I, Lord? Day 118 But Peter said to Him, Even though all may fall away because of You, I will never fall away. 46

Day 119 Then He said to them, My soul is deeply grieved, to the point of death; remain here and keep watch with Me. Day 120 Whether, then, you eat or drink or whatever you do, do all to the glory of God. 47

Day 121 But Peter was following Him at a distance as far as the courtyard of the high priest, and entered in, and sat down with the officers to see the outcome. Day 122 The high priest stood up and said to Him, Do You not answer? What is it that these men are testifying against You? 48

Day 123 Then he began to curse and swear, I do not know the man! And immediately a rooster crowed. Day 124 Then Pilate said to Him, Do You not hear how many things they testify against You? 49

Day 125 Greater love has no one than this, that one lay down his life for his friends. Day 126 And all the people said, His blood shall be on us and on our children! 50

Day 127 At that time two robbers were crucified with Him, one on the right and one on the left. Day 128 Immediately one of them ran, and taking a sponge, he filled it with sour wine and put it on a reed, and gave Him a drink. 51

Day 129 And Jesus cried out again with a loud voice, and yielded up His spirit. Day 130 Dear children, let us not love with words or speech but with actions and in truth. 52
