Week of Feb. 4 God s Word Guides Us MONDAY : Psalm 119:97 The psalmist proclaims his love for God s law. God s law is His word. And the psalmist says that he loves God s law so much he thinks about it all day long. Do you think about God s word? Do you love God s word? Our lives should be centered around the word of God. His word guides us but we have to spend time in it. righteousness, that the man of God may be complete, equipped for every good work. PRAYER TIME: Thank the Lord for His word. Ask the Lord to help you love His word. Thank the Lord for His love. TUESDAY : Psalm 119:104 The precepts are God s commandments that are intended to direct the way we live and think. God s commands give us direction and understanding. Learning God s way and falling in love with His word should lead us to hating everything that is sin. Are you following His commands? righteousness, that the man of God may be complete, equipped for every good work. PRAYER TIME: Ask the Lord to help you learn His commands. Ask Him to help you follow His commands. Ask the Lord to help live right.

THURSDAY : Joshua 1:8 The LORD told Joshua that it would be His words that would lead Joshua to lead the people and make His way prosperous. God told Joshua to make sure that His word was meditated on day and night and this would give him the direction and wisdom to lead the people. Just like Paul telling us to pray with out ceasing God told Joshua to meditate, think on His word all the time. Both of these disciplines are to be done while we are taking care of our daily responsibilities. So while we are working, at school, at the store, recreation, and any activities through the day the LORD s word should be leading us and guiding us. righteousness, that the man of God may be complete, equipped for every good work. PRAYER TIME: Ask the Lord to forgive you for not spending time in His word. Thank Him for His word. Ask Him to help you understand His word. FRIDAY : Luke 11:28 Jesus said that following God s word is more important than any position one might achieve in this life. God cares more about obedience than any sacrifice or position. Jesus tells us that joy will come into a disciples life when they here the word of God and do it. We can not just hear the word but we must do it, follow it, obey it. Are you listening to God s word? Are you keeping it and following His word? profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for training in righteousness, that the man of God may be complete, equipped for every good work. PRAYER TIME: Ask the Lord to help you listen to His word. Ask the Lord to help you obey His word. Thank Him for guiding you bu His word.

SATURDAY : 2 Timothy 3:16-17 This is our memory verse for this month. God s word guides us in all things. God s word should be our standard for everything we do. The word of God brings completeness to all aspects of our life. His word is for instruction and correction. Following God s word will bring about good for men and glory to God. Are you letting God s word guide you? profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for training in righteousness, that the man of God may be complete, equipped for every good work. Week of Feb. 11 God Preserves His Word MONDAY : Psalm 12:6-7 God s words are pure. This means they are holy and perfect. The psalmist tells us that God s words are tried like silver is by fire and they remain. There is nothing false or wrong about them. God will keep His word and His words will remain forever. To preserve means to keep from harm. God s words, because they are pure, will remain forever. righteousness, that the man of God may be complete, equipped for every good work. PRAYER TIME: Thank the Lord for His word. Thank Him for His holiness. Thank Him for preserving His word.

TUESDAY : Mark 13:31 Jesus words tell of the power of God s word. There is prophecy of the end times here that Jesus speaks of. The earth will pass away and God will make a new Heaven and Earth. But even in all the changes that will come. The Words of God will never change or pass away. His words are sure, pure and true, and His words will last forever. righteousness, that the man of God may be complete, equipped for every good work. PRAYER TIME: Thank Jesus for His power. Thank Him for His word. Thank Him for His plan of salvation. THURSDAY : Isaiah 40:8 The grass and the flowers are fragile and are easily destroyed. But one thing that is not fragile or easily destroyed is the word of God. There is nothing more powerful than the word of God. It is the one thing that will stand forever. righteousness, that the man of God may be complete, equipped for every good work. PRAYER TIME: Thank God for His creation. Thank Him for His word. Thank Him for His almighty power.

FRIDAY : Psalm 119:89 The psalmist tells us that the power of the word of God. His word is eternal. It has always been and it always will be. To stand firm means that nothing will even move it. God s word is our rock. righteousness, that the man of God may be complete, equipped for every good work. PRAYER TIME: Thank God for being our rock. Thank Him that His word will never fail. Thank God for the power of His word. SATURDAY : Isaiah 55:11 God gives us a promise that His word has purpose and a plan. Every word from God is a part of His plan. His word will come true and will accomplish His plan. There is nothing or anyone who can stop it. righteousness, that the man of God may be complete, equipped for every good work. PRAYER TIME: Thank the LORD for His plan. Thank the LORD for His promise. Thank the LORD for His power.

Week of Feb. 18 God s Word is Complete MONDAY : Psalm 33:4 His word guides us. His word is preserved for all time. His word is also complete. God s word is and has everything we need. His word is complete because it is truth and upright. Everything that God does is faithful, for our good and for His glory. righteousness, that the man of God may be complete, equipped for every good work. PRAYER TIME: Thank the LORD for His faithfulness. Thank the LORD for the truth of His Word. Thank the LORD for providing everything we need TUESDAY : Psalm 119:130 The word of God gives light to the those who study it. His word is light in the darkness. The word of the Lord gives understanding to the simple. His word is not complicated. If we will just take the time to study and learn the word of God will bring knowledge and understanding to our lives. righteousness, that the man of God may be complete, equipped for every good work. PRAYER TIME: Thank the LORD for giving us His word. Thank the LORD for helping us understand His word. Thank the LORD for teaching us how to live by His word.

THURSDAY : Matthew 4:4 Jesus went into the wilderness to fast. When He was done the Devil tried to tempt Him to follow what he said. Jesus reminded the enemy of the completeness of the word of God. Jesus did this by reminding the enemy that its not just bread that gives life to mankind. But it is the words of God that bring life to mankind. But to receive that life and live in it you have to be in the word. righteousness, that the man of God may be complete, equipped for every good work. PRAYER TIME: Thank Jesus for His example. Thank Him for giving us Victory over the enemy. Thank Jesus for everlasting life. FRIDAY : Psalm 19:7 God s word is complete because it brings a refreshening to the soul. The word of the LORD is perfect and trustworthy. It brings peace, joy and comfort to those who fill their lives with it. righteousness, that the man of God may be complete, equipped for every good work. PRAYER TIME: Thank the LORD for joy. Thank the LORD for peace. Thank Him for His comfort.

SATURDAY : 2 Timothy 3:15 The word of God is complete because it brings salvation. Salvation comes from studying the scripture to understand that Jesus Christ is the son of God. Then upon repenting of your sins and trusting in Christ you will be saved. righteousness, that the man of God may be complete, equipped for every good work. PRAYER TIME: Thank Jesus for salvation. Thank God for sending Jesus to rescue us. Thank Him that His word is complete and beings eternal life. Week of Feb. 25 Don t Change God s Word MONDAY : Deuteronomy 4:2 God s word is complete. It needs nothing more and nothing less. And the LORD tells us this in our passage today. Keep God s word, not adding to it or taking away from it is the command of God. His word is trustworthy and we must trust the almighty, all knowing creator of the universe. righteousness, that the man of God may be complete, equipped for every good work. PRAYER TIME: Thank the LORD for His complete word. Thank Him that His word is perfect. Ask Him to help you keep His commands.

TUESDAY : Deuteronomy 12:32 There is only one of two choices in this life; follow the commands of the LORD to everlasting life in heaven or follow your own way and spend eternal life in hell. We each have to decide for ourselves. The LORD tells us to make sure we follow His word, and do it the way He has told us to. righteousness, that the man of God may be complete, equipped for every good work. PRAYER TIME: Thank God for His Word. Thank Him for His promises. Thank Him for Salvation. THURSDAY : Revelation 22:18 The prophecy of the end times is something people always want to talk about and even add their own thoughts as if they are God s words. There is a promise of a curse if any adds to the Words of God. This is why it is important to speak the truth of God s word from God s word. righteousness, that the man of God may be complete, equipped for every good work. PRAYER TIME: Ask the Lord to forgive you of your sins. Ask Him to help you study His word. Ask Him to give you understanding of His word to help others.

FRIDAY : Proverbs 30:6 God is Truth and His word is Truth. He will preserve His word. We are must not make up our own truth for God will not let His word be mocked or changed. His truth will be revealed and His truth will always come to light. righteousness, that the man of God may be complete, equipped for every good work. PRAYER TIME: Thank the LORD for His Truth. Thank Him for His word. Thank the Lord for His power. SATURDAY : Joshua 1:7 We must live like Joshua. We must be strong and have courage to live out the word of God each day of our lives. We are given the promise that when we follow God s word that we will be successful in the things we do. righteousness, that the man of God may be complete, equipped for every good work. PRAYER TIME: Thank the LORD for His Promises. Ask the LORD to help you be strong and have courage. Ask Him to help you live out His word.
