FAITH FOR OUR NATION VOTE SPECIAL GEORGE PEARSONS, MICHELE BACHMANN, DAVID BARTON, KEITH BUTLER DAY 1 VOTING FOR LIFE THE NO. 1 ISSUE IN THE NATION The purpose of this series is to prepare voters for the upcoming primary and midterm elections. If you want change in your nation, state, county and city, you must sow your seed and vote. The No. 1 issue in the United States is found in the Declaration of Independence it s the right to life. We need to be disciplined to God s Word to know His will and side with His Word. STUDY IT I. The purpose of this series is to prepare voters for the upcoming primary and midterm elections. Governmental leaders give the people of the country a peaceful, blessed life, or not. (Proverbs 29:2). We have the power to elect leaders, and we must use that power. It s very important that every believer vote prayerfully in every election. Statistics show the percentage of people who vote diminishes from the presidential elections on down to the local elections. It s up to you to vote. The primary elections determine who the candidates will be for the actual election, so it s important to vote in those as well. o Often the person who wins in the primary election will win in the overall election. II. If you want change in your government, you must sow your seed and vote. Voting is your seed. Its part of the seedtime and harvest law (Genesis 8:22). We need to see issues from a biblical perspective. o Labels are not always accurate descriptions of beliefs. There is a difference between conservative and biblical values. o As a believer, it is your responsibility to stand for the kingdom of God. o Pastors have a duty to preach biblical morality and the responsibilities of citizenship. It s our job to vote, and vote for the candidate who sides with God and His Word. The worst thing we can do is to grumble about our country s condition then not vote. We are to take care of the nation with God s way of rule until He returns.

Candidates stand for either life or death. o As you vote, choose whichever candidate is closest to the biblical model. o You need to stop as much wickedness as you can (Deuteronomy 30:19). We vote to choose whether our country is for godly values or not. Voting is an issue about giving back to God, giving to the kingdom of God, and giving to others for a better life for them and their children (Jeremiah 1:5). III. The No. 1 issue in the United States is found in the Declaration of Independence it s the right to life. How the leader votes on abortion issues shows how he/she will vote on economics, taxes, right of the child, gun control and foreign affairs. The main issue to God is to preserve life. A king is doing well when his population grows (Proverbs 14:28). When you murder your own population, you are destroying your own nation. There have been 60 million abortions in this country those people could have lived productive lives. o God formed you from your mother s womb (Isaiah 44:2, 24). o Man s part in procreation is the body, and then God puts life into the fetus. o The judicial ruling of Roe versus Wade tried to make abortion a political issue. It s not political; it s a biblical issue. IV. We need to be disciplined to God s Word to know His will and side with His Word. We don t need to take sides with a political party. We need to side with God. Take time to research for yourself. Don t just depend on what the media says. Find out who the godly candidate is. Get registered, vote and encourage others to vote. We are accountable to God for everything we say (Matthew 12:36), everything we think (Hebrews 4:12), and everything we do (1 Corinthians 4:4), including our vote. The Church has the ability to turn the country from death to life by voting. To get more information about the candidates platforms, look on the internet at voter guides one of which is christianvoterguide.com. Additional scriptures: Genesis 1-2; Exodus 18:21; Luke 19:13; Matthew 25; Colossians 3:15; Proverbs 1-7; 1 Timothy 2:1-4 MAKE IT PERSONAL Write the dates and times of upcoming primary and local elections in your area. Circle the dates on your calendar, exercise your right and go vote!

FAITH FOR OUR NATION VOTE SPECIAL GEORGE PEARSONS, MICHELE BACHMANN, DAVID BARTON, KEITH BUTLER DAY 2 VOTING FOR UNITY THE HEART OF OUR NATION We have a responsibility given by God to vote and let our voices be heard. Division has tried to rise up and separate us in our country. The way God views people is different from man s view. Secular progressives demean the individual by putting everyone into groups. How does this affect elections and lack of unity? STUDY IT I. We have a responsibility given by God to vote and let our voices be heard. Pastor George prays in the voting booth for every candidate and each one s family, and worships God for the privilege and honor of voting. God is looking to us to make the right decisions for this country. We have been given delegated authority by the Lord. II. Division has tried to rise up and separate us in our country. Where there is division and strife, there is every evil work (James 3:16). History was much different than what is now taught. Black and white people fought side by side. Monuments have been built to black heroes as well as white. God s Word is truth. We need to focus on biblical principles and morality. When we come to God and look at His face, it brings peace and unity. III. The way God views people is different from man s view. In Revelation, we see all people, all races gathered around God s throne all are one (Revelation 7:9). There are only two ethnicities in the Bible: those who know God, and those who do not. God s viewpoint is that there is neither Jew, Greek, Scythian, bond nor free, male nor female (Colossians 3:11). Anything else is a world viewpoint. Secular progressives brought in a different belief system. o Secular means against God s Word. o Progressive means to get away from the old ways of doing things. Sometimes it is good to be progressive, like in the area of technology. However, right and wrong do not need to change. The Chief of Naturalization defined an American in 1919 and 1941.

o An American is one who is greater in his soul than in his class, creed, political party or the section in which he lives. o To be an American, a man must have an American soul and believe in the spiritual realities upon which America rests and out of which America was born. o An American was created to light mankind with those passions which lift, and not by the passions which separate and debase. o Americans improve the ideals of man and make them see finer things, causing them to get rid of the things that divide and establish things that unite. VI. Secular progressives demean the individual by putting everyone into groups. You are only what the group says. You are not seen as an individual. They lobby for legislation that divides individuals into groups. The U.S. tax code is based on groups, not God s way which is 10 percent across the board. When every man does what is right in his own eyes that s anarchy (Judges 17:6). The brotherhood of man wants what s best for the other. The reason you have division is because the standard has been removed. The standard that everyone agreed on, at the beginning of our nation, was the Bible. o The Word of God needs to be put back into the highest place in our lives. That s where it belongs as a standard of living. Government must change to this standard and the value of the individual. We need to go back to teaching that all men are created equal. God s way builds our hearts toward unity. V. How does this affect elections and the lack of unity? We must elect people who believe the Bible and have a godly view. We need to have a united nation again united in purpose under the Lord Jesus. The Church must become united again on the importance of God s Word. Study the party platforms to know where the beliefs of the political parties stand. o Whether they choose groups or individuals, that s a clue to their agendas. Be aware that each candidate has his/her own beliefs and platforms. Study so you will know how to vote. Additional scriptures: Philippians 4:8; 1 Samuel 16:7; Mark 3:25 MAKE IT PERSONAL Make this declaration with us: I refuse division and hatred. My heavenly Father loves all people and desires them to come to the knowledge of Jesus Christ, and I stand with Him!

FAITH FOR OUR NATION VOTE SPECIAL GEORGE PEARSONS, MICHELE BACHMANN, DAVID BARTON, KEITH BUTLER DAY 3 VOTING TO STAND WITH ISRAEL As Christians, we should be voting to stand with Israel. God said those who bless Israel will be blessed. One major issue concerns defending Israel s ownership of its land. There is a political push to pass resolutions and laws that will hurt Israel economically. There are several key issues on which we need to determine the political candidates positions as we decide how to cast our votes. STUDY IT I. God said those who bless Israel will be blessed (Genesis 12:3). God said those who touch Israel, touch the apple of His eye (Zechariah 2:8). Every person who has ever lived and every nation has a relationship with Israel to bless them, or not (Matthew 25:31-33). We, as a nation, must stand with Israel. The United States has been a good friend to Israel. o The first world leader who recognized Israel as a nation in 1948 was President Truman, a Democrat. o President Eisenhower in 1947 gave Hebrew-language Bibles to Israeli military forces. This was before Israel became a nation. We are to pray for the peace of Jerusalem (Psalm 122:6). II. One major issue concerns defending Israel s ownership of its land. Palestinians want to have their own land, and they want to take the land of Israel to be their own. They don t want land from any other country. o Their plan begins with a two-state ownership. God is very protective of His people, Israel, and their land. o If someone wants to give away land that God gave Israel, he/she will not be blessed. o In the Bible, we are told that Israel s land belongs to them forever (Jeremiah 7:7). o Great Britain gave away some of Israel s land. Now, they are no longer a powerful nation. o Israel is not supposed to be divided, but especially not the city of Jerusalem. o Jerusalem, God said, is the capital of the world. It is His throne (Jeremiah 3:17).

God gave Israel, as a people and a land, to bless the nations (Genesis 22:18). When we agree with God s viewpoint, we have unity, hope and happiness. The question is: Are we going to agree with God, or not? III. There is a political push to pass resolutions and laws that will hurt Israel economically. A current bill is the Boycott Divestiture Sanctions (BDS), designed to punish Israel. The good news is that some of the states have passed anti-bds, because of the influence of the voters. We need to pray that a biblical perspective will be strong in the United Nations. Currently, they are very anti-israel. o Annually, more U.N. resolutions condemn Israel than all other resolutions concerning violation of civil rights of all other nations. The Arab nations have an irrational hatred of Israel that is anti-god. Pro-life, pro-economic and pro-israel views need to be preached from the pulpit. IV. There are several key issues on which we need to determine a political candidate s position as we decide how to cast our votes. Anyone running for office has a public forum whereby you can get information. A politician will say with his words whether he is pro-israel. Find out about his/her position on BDS, two-state occupation of Israel and Jerusalem, abortion, and division in our country. We also need to know his/her position on our national security, financial support for our military, and securing our national borders. o Our country needs to stop inviting people into our country who want to kill us and destroy our nation. o We need to pray that the people who are in charge of our national security and America s national sovereignty actually have our best interests in mind. Pray and intercede for the awakening of this nation to God. Additional scriptures: Numbers 23:19; Psalm 105:8; 1 Timothy 2:1-4 MAKE IT PERSONAL Pray with us for Israel and Jerusalem. Heavenly Father, You have appointed Israel as the land of Your people forever. We pray for the leaders of Israel both in the government and the military that they hear Your voice and walk in Your wisdom. Thank You that Your hand of protection is on the people of Israel. Stop laws and rules that are made against them, and bless them with the knowledge of You. We pray for the peace of Jerusalem. In Jesus Name, Amen.

FAITH FOR OUR NATION VOTE SPECIAL GEORGE PEARSONS, MICHELE BACHMANN, DAVID BARTON, KEITH BUTLER DAY 4 VOTING TO PRESERVE OUR NATION S ECONOMY, EDUCATION AND FUTURE It s important to get to the polls and vote in every election. A local election doesn t bring a large turnout of voters, but these local races have everything to do with your quality of life. Voting for school board members has great consequences for you and your children. The Bible is so full of instruction concerning money, prosperity and poverty that it could be an economics textbook. Churches must move away from entertainment and teach the Bible line upon line, and build an understanding of biblical values. STUDY IT I. It s important to get to the polls and vote in every election. Educate yourself to vote God s way. The smaller elections can have large consequences. The Fort Worth Independent School District said they didn t believe gender-specific bathrooms were necessary. Just a few weeks later, former President Obama mandated that if you received federal funding, you could not specify genders for bathrooms, locker rooms or other public places. o God specifically created male and female. Ignoring gender is not His way. o There are more than 90 legal gender choices. One Christian lady in a town with a 40,000-population decided to run for a seat on the school board for the purpose of stopping non-gender-specific bathrooms. Scripture says that when one becomes wise in his own estimation, he is actually a fool (Romans 1:22). II. A local election doesn t bring a large turnout of voters, but these local races have everything to do with your quality of life. When a person is elected in a local election, it s possibly the person who will move up to mayor, state representative or higher. Find out the beliefs of local candidates, because these are the people who will affect your life and make decisions for your community. III. Voting for school board members has great consequences for you and your children. Our children are being taught wrong living. That s why it s important to vote in the school board elections.

Even if you bring your children to church one hour a week, the school still has 30 hours a week to indoctrinate them. Vote for someone who has biblical values to be on the school board who can make decisions for your child s school. For 320 years, the Bible was the textbook in America. o When our nation moved away from having the Bible and prayer in schools, that s when the United States began to suffer. Education has always been a local community responsibility, until 1978 when the federal Department of Education was established. Now, the government is controlling what is taught in the schools and to your children. Educate yourself on the candidates www.christianvoterguide.com can help. We need to know who we are voting for. According to statistics, college students today prefer socialism, communism or fascism to free-market economics, because they know nothing about economics and how they will be affected. o Socialism is a type of government that makes decisions for the individual rather than allowing individuals to freely run their lives; such decisions as how people are allowed to spend their money, etc. IV. The Bible is so full of instruction concerning money, prosperity and poverty that it could be an economics textbook. The Bible deals with issues like how you should spend your money, how you deal with taxes, and how you can be a good steward of all that God gives you. A moral, biblical foundation is needed for any successful economy to work. o Moral standards come from biblical teachings. V. Churches must move away from entertainment and teach the Bible, line upon line and build an understanding of biblical values. Inside the church we must be teaching what the Bible, and God, says. Additional scriptures: Deuteronomy 6:7; Proverbs 13:22; Luke 19:22-27; Matthew 25:14-29; 1 Timothy 5:8; 2 Thessalonians 3:10; Romans 13:6-8; Luke 6:40 MAKE IT PERSONAL As you prepare to vote, write what issues in the upcoming election seem most important.

FAITH FOR OUR NATION VOTE SPECIAL GEORGE PEARSONS, MICHELE BACHMANN, DAVID BARTON, KEITH BUTLER DAY 5 VOTING FOR GODLY JUDGES SETS OUR NATION S COURSE Voting for godly judges sets our nation s course! The righteousness of a nation is tied to the decisions of the judges. It s not legislators who make decisions for or against God s righteousness; judges do. Since judges are not elected, they should not be policy makers. Their job is to make rulings based on the law. They shouldn t be making policies or laws. Because so few people vote in the local and state elections, Christians can make a big difference. STUDY IT I. The righteousness of a nation is tied to the decisions of the judges. God wants the judges restored to righteousness (Isaiah 1:26). Politicians may come and go, but judges may serve for decades. They are often appointed, not elected. This is how you fix a broken nation: Install righteous judges. A good judge proclaims the precepts of God. II. It s not legislators who make decisions for or against God s righteousness judges do. Some judges are elected and some are appointed. Politicians tend to appoint judges who reflect their own values. If a judge says that abortion is illegal that s a life-and-death issue. Judges must serve God, or else they will create wrath (Psalm 2:10-12). Judges must use their power to be ambassadors of God to the people (2 Chronicles 19:6-7). We should appoint judges who fear the Lord; otherwise they will make unrighteousness decisions, and the nations will be judged by God for their mistakes (Ezra 7:24).

III. Since judges are not elected, they should not be policy makers. Their job is to make rulings based on the law. They shouldn t be making policies or laws. The Founding Fathers set up the lawmakers to make the laws. The judges are to apply the facts of each case to the laws that have been made, and make rulings based on those laws. o Righteousness issues are being decided by judges, not legislators, and that s not right. Be armed with knowledge of each candidate s stand on various issues by going to christianvoterguide.com, ivoter.com or ivoterguide.com. Call the candidates and find out where they stand on crucial issues abortion, what is taught to our children, financial support for our military, and protecting our borders, to name a few. God said He will restore your broken society, and He is going to start with the judges. One person can set the bar for righteousness, just like Moses did for the children of Israel. IV. Because so few people vote in the local and state elections, Christians can make a big difference. We can bring wisdom and understanding to the table, and that gives us influence in our culture. By voting, you are choosing someone to speak with your voice. Find out which candidate wants to bring moral, Christian values to our country; share that information with your friends and go vote. When you vote, you have done your part to influence your government and fulfill your God-given responsibility. Additional scriptures: Genesis 8:22; Proverbs 14:34 MAKE IT PERSONAL Start researching now to find out where the candidates in your area stand on crucial issues that will lead the nation toward God. Then, make the commitment to go vote! We invite you to become a Partner with Kenneth Copeland Ministries as we take the gospel of Jesus Christ from the top of the world and all the way around.
