Mary, Mother of Jesus May God Be Pleased With Her There is an entire chapter in The Quran dedicated to Mary, called Mary (Mariam). The Angel Gabriel came to Mary and told her she will give birth to a son Jesus, (pbuh). The angel Gabriel said to Mary, It will happen. God says, It is easy for Me and We will appoint him as a sign for men and a mercy from Us. It is a matter that has already been decided. 19:21 13

Mary, Mother of Jesus May God Be Pleased With Her As an infant Jesus spoke to defend his mother and tell the people he was a prophet of God. He said: Indeed I am a servant of God: He has given me the scripture (the Gospel) and made me a prophet; And He has made me blessed where ever I be, and has commanded me prayer and charity as long as I live; He has made me kind to my Mother, and not arrogant or miserable; and peace is on me the day I was born, the day I die, and the day I will be raised (again) to life! 19:30-33 It is not suited for Almighty God that He should father a son. Glory to Him! When He determines anything, He only says to it, Be, and it is. Jesus said: And surely God is my Lord and your Lord: Him Alone, you therefore worship (and serve): This is the straight path. 19: 35-36 Myths About Islam Women in Islam Considered as vital to life as men Are exempt from financial responsibilities Sons are not to be favored over daughters Have the right to accept or reject marriage proposal 14
