So that the deceased remains in an essentially refrigerated state, we respectfully request that the identification be for no more than 30 minutes from the time we agree to begin. In the interest of full disclosure while minimizing movement of the deceased, the identification occurs in the container that will shelter the deceased prior to cremation and will be later consumed in the cremation process. CREM ATION FOR CATHOLICS Liturgical Services. e offer Catholic cremation services to meet every need and budget. The Catholic Church feels that cremains are to be treated with the same respect as the body before cremation and should have a reverent disposition, including a grave burial or entombment in a mausoleum or columbarium. The Catholic Church also prefers that the loved one s body or cremains are present for the funeral rite. We are able to ensure your wishes and those of the Church are in synch. WE BELIEVE Closure We support families saying goodbye at the bedside instead of embalming and funeral home viewing. Memorial Services We will gladly help arrange a memorial service in a church instead of funerals in funeral homes. Visitation We know many patients have suffered weight loss and do not always want family and friends seeing them. Georgia Cremation supports this decision. CASKETS & Burial vaults Georgia Cremation does not have a product orientation. We do not sell caskets or burial vaults. We do maintain a nice selection of urns. For families selecting cremation with a final goodbye, we use a rental casket. The Process We visit the family in their home; we feel anxiety levels are greatly decreased when we do the driving. We offer the same services as a funeral home. We place all obituary and funeral notices. We mail urns to out of town cemeteries; we do veterans paperwork, social security and any other clerical support as needed. We arrange all details of a family s memorial service. We enjoy doing any little thing that will make the families happy.
