Biographies Most Reverend Gerald M. Barbarito, Bishop of Palm Beach The Most Reverend Gerald M. Barbarito was installed as the fifth Bishop of the Diocese of Palm Beach on August 28, 2003. Prior, he was installed in 2000 as the 12th Bishop of the Diocese of Ogdensburg, N.Y. In 1994 he was ordained a Bishop and served as the Auxiliary Bishop of Brooklyn, N.Y. He is a member of the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops (USCCB) and has served on many USCCB Committees and as a Board of Directors Member for the Catholic Legal Immigration Network, Inc. (CLINIC). Bishop Barbarito is currently Vice President of the Florida Catholic Conference and Episcopal Liaison for its Education Committee. ValLimar Jansen Blessed with an extraordinary voice, ValLimar Jansen is a highly regarded singer, composer and recording artist. She has s u n g a n d t o u r e d professionally throughout the U.S., Europe and the Caribbean Islands. Known especially for her work with g o s p e l, c o n t e m p o r a r y Christian and gospel-jazz styles, she sings a wide range of music. She coauthored a one-woman musical about the life of Ethel Waters that received a special commendation from the Kennedy Center in Washington, D.C.
