THE POWER IN GOD'S WORD. Its a blessing to have you reading this Bible Studies Resource from me. In this Bible Studies we will be studying about The Power in God's Word. I believe this is going to be a great blessing to you. ~Edmund Appiah. Author.
THE PURPOSE OF THIS STUDY. Many Christians find it difficult to read their Bibles because they do not know much about the power God's word contains. Aside prayer and fasting God's word also strengthens our relationship with Him, His words are found in the Bible and they are guidelines to our Christian journey or our daily walk with God. Do you read your Bible very often? Do you feel too lazy to read your Bible? The purpose of this Bible studies is to lead you to discover the power in God's word and how you can develop the habit of reading God's word everyday.
GOD'S WORD AND US. "Thy word is a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path." Psalm 119:105. The word of God is amazing, it has the power to soften a hardened heart, restore us and comforts us. In Psalm 119:105 we discover that God's word is a lamp unto our feet and a light to our path. God's word is amazing, it contains truths to guide us in life. His word shapes us, and leads us to be the people God created us to be. We live in a dark world and we need light so we can walk safely without being hurt or falling in the traps of the devil, only God's word is the light, and the truth. God's word is a constitution for us as Christians, His word teaches us what to do and what not to do. God's word gives us a picture of God Himself, His word describes His heart and His unfailing love towards us. There were times I used to feel broken and thought I'm no more worthy to be called God's Child, I condemned myself a many times, I thought I can't be of any good use to God, so I have to live my life as it is, but when the Holy Spirit Led me to read God's word, I discovered that nothing can separate me from God's love, not even my past failures or weakness. His word refreshes me, restores me and strengthens me, and He didn't look at just my outward appearance, but He is more interested in my heart. There are so many truths in life that can only be discovered through God's word. The peace of life, and finding solutions to some of life's challenges. It doesn't matter how broken you feel, just open your Bible and begin to discover things for yourself.
CAN WE TRUST GOD'S WORD? Many Christians haven't been reading God's word because they think they can't trust His word. God's word contains promises for our own good but we feel these promises cannot be accomplished in our lives. God says in His word that no promise of His will never be accomplished, His word has an accomplishment in our lives. Let's read the Bible verse below: Rain and snow fall from the sky. But they don't return without watering the earth that produces seeds to plant and grain to eat. That's how it is with my words. They don't return to me without doing everything I send them to do. Isaiah 55:10 11. My friend, God's word has an accomplishment in our lives. God says His word will not return to Him without accomplishing the purpose for which it was sent. Trust God's word, believe every single word of God concerning your health, future, marriage, peace, job and life shall be accomplished.
THE POWER IN GOD'S WORD. Read the verse below: "All Scripture is inspired by God and is useful to teach us what is true and make us realize what is wrong in our lives. It corrects us when we are wrong and teaches us to do what is right. God uses it to prepare and equip His people to do every good work." ~ 2Timothy 3:16. The Bible is not a collection of stories, fables, myths, or merely human ideas about God. It is not a human book. Through the Holy Spirit, God revealed His person and plan to certain believers, who wrote down His message for His people. The writers of the Bible wrote from their own personal, historical, and cultural contexts. Although they used their own minds, talents, language, and style, they wrote what God wanted them to write. Scripture is completely trustworthy because God was in control of its writing. Its words are entirely authoritative for our faith and life. The Bible is "God breathed." Read it, and use its teaching to guide your conduct. The whole Bible is God's inspired Word. Because it is inspired and trustworthy, we should read it and apply it to our life. The Bible is our standard for testing everything else that claims to be true. It is our safeguard against false teaching and our source of knowledge about how we can be saved. God wants to show you what is true and equip you to live for Him. How much time do you spend in God's Word? Read it regularly to discover God's truth and to become confident in your life and faith. Develop a plan for reading the whole Bible, not just the familiar passages. In our zeal for the truth of Scripture, we must never forget its purpose to equip us to do good. We should not study God's Word simply to increase our knowledge or to prepare us to win arguments. We should study the Bible so that so that we will know how to do Christ's work in the world. Our knowledge of God's word is not useful unless it strengthens our faith and leads us to do good.
