Cathedral of St. John the Baptist 5 June 2016 Bishop s Concert 21 June 2016 7:00 pm 12-Day Pilgrimage to Rome, Italy 7-18 March 2017 Msgr. Brovey will be leading a pilgrimage to Rome on 7-18 March 2017 visiting Assisi, Florence, Orvieto and 5 days in Rome. The pilgrimage begins in the peaceful hillside town of St. Francis and St. Clare before continuing on to the Renaissance city of Florence. On the way to Rome we will stop in the town of Orvieto where the tradition of the Corpus Christi Eucharistic Processions began. In Rome we will be staying in the beautiful Hotel Columbus located right in front of St. Peter s Square. While in the Eternal City we will visit some of the most significant churches in Church history: St. Peter s Basilica, St. John Lateran, the Holy Stairs, St. Clemente, St. Maria in Trastevere, St. Cecilia, the Gesu, the catacombs to name just a few. We will also attend a Papal Audience with Pope Francis and Scavi Tour (a tour beneath St. Peter s to the very tomb of the Prince of the Apostles). Also, included are a walking tour to the vibrant Piazza Navona, Campo dei Fiori, Trevi Fountain and Spanish Steps and much more. A pilgrimage to Rome is a wonderfully spiritual enriching experience with much fun and fellowship mixed in! $3998. Includes roundtrip airfare from CHS, first class hotels, guides. www.charlestoncathedral.com Please Pray The rain put a damper on our block party, but we still were able to have a beautiful Mass, indoor procession and Benediction for this glorious Feast of Corpus Christi. Many thanks to our volunteers who worked to organize our Corpus Christi Procession and Block Party. Even though the Tropical Storm caused us to cancel the outdoor procession and party, our committee put in many hours of work planning and preparing for this event. It is deeply appreciated! Special thanks to the Knights of Columbus, the Knights and Ladies of the Equestrian Order of the Holy Sepulcher, and the Knights of Peter Claver who attended the 6 pm Mass The Cathedral of St. John the Baptist Parking Pass 4-5 June 2016 Tear along dotted line for the attendant.
