DAILY PRAYER GUIDE BASED ON THE SEVEN MOUNTAINS OF INFLUENCE (Dick Eastman, 2012) You are encouraged to use the following in your daily intercession. As you are led by the Holy Spirit, pray specifically for our church, other churches, our nation and nations of the world. 1 RELIGION (The Church and her ministries) Pray for the Holy Spirit s anointing on all churches regardless of their denominations. Pray for ministries involved in evangelism and discipleship including foreign missionary activity. CGMC s 50 th Anniversary: Pray for the 50 hours of Bible Continuous Reading leading up to the launching of the celebration on May 13 th. Pray that it will involve leaders and members of the three congregations, young and old. Pray that the Lord will stir the hearts of many members who would be prompted to volunteer, and to take the reading of the Word seriously. Pray that it would be a 50 sacred hours of reading the Word back to the Lord as our memorial to the Lord s 50 years of His faithfulness 2 FAMILY AND MARRIAGES (Youth, Children, Marriage, etc) Pray for families in general, and particularly for the healing of broken relationships in marriages and families especially among believers and those in Christian ministry. According to a UN report, millions, including 7 million Yemenis and 1.4 million children face starvation and death from famine in Nigeria, Somalia, South Sudan and Yemen, as a result of armed conflicts and drought. Pray for global humanitarian aid to be mobilised to help the starving in the face of this human catastrophe.

3 EDUCATION (All Schools, Universities, Colleges and Educators) The focus is to pray for all institutions of learning, be they for the very young, as children are so easily influenced, or for those catering for higher education. Pray for teachers and educators. Pray for those whom you know by name. 4 BUSINESS (The Marketplace) This focus involves praying for a spiritual awakening in the marketplace. Pray especially for Christian businessmen and businesswomen that God will use them to influence others in their professions. Pray for the major corporations that they will build their companies on a foundation of high moral and ethical standards. 5 GOVERNMENT (State, National and International) Pray for the leaders of our state and the national government. Remember especially to intercede for the judiciary (judges) of our nation and the nations of the world. Intercede also for the military, the police and civil servants. Pastor Raymond Koh was abducted on 13 th February, and it has been more than 10 weeks now but there has been no news about him at all. Pray for his body, soul and spirit, and for the Lord to use him for His greater will to be done. Pray for his wife and children for God s comfort and peace as they wait for the outcome. The Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) has urged Dewan Negara members to declare corruption and power abuse as the country s Public Enemy No.1. MACC Chief Commissioner Datuk Dzulkifli Ahmad said very untoward incident in the country was linked closely to power abuse and corruption which is detrimental to the image of the nation. Pray for the MACC officers that they will continue to be zealous in stamping all forms of corruption in the country. Pray that the officers will be professional and thorough in their investigations that in every case all evidence will be gathered to make a water-tight case for the prosecution and justice will be done. 6 MEDIA (The Press, Television, Internet, Social Network) Ask God to cause all aspects of the media and information technology to become a tool in His hands to change the culture around us for His honour and glory. 7 ARTS & ENTERTAINMENT (including sports) This focus includes all the various fields of the arts and entertainment including sports. Ask God to use Christians in these areas to influence and impact those around them.

SERMON NOTES THE LIFE OF A DISCIPLE OF JESUS IS TO BEAR FRUIT JOHN 15:1-17 PREACHER: DR SU TOO KIAT INTRODUCTION The context of John 15. (John 13 John 16) 14:31 Come now, let us leave. 1. Remaining (Abiding) In Christ. How? 1.1 His WORD (Forgiveness, transformation of life and obedience) 1.2 Prayer (ASK according to His Will) 1.3 LOVE Love of the Father, love of Jesus Christ and love each other. 2. Remaining (Abiding) In Christ. What happens? 2.1 Jesus Is The Source Of Life. (John 15: 1) I am the Bread of Life. (John 6:35) I am the way, and the truth and the life. (John 14:6) I am the true vine. (John 15:1) Refer to 1 st John 5:11-12, John 14: 16-18 2.2 The Life source produces Fruit. (vv.2-8) a) Produce fruit in Keeping with repentance (Matthew 3:8) b) The fruit of the Holy Spirit. (Galatians 5:22-23) c) The gospel is bearing fruit. (Colossians 1:6) 2.3 Answered Prayer is the Fruit Jesus is talking about in John 15. Fruit come through prayer, all other fruit come through prayer. CONCLUSION Disciples of Jesus are to bear much fruit. (Verse 15:8) I chose you and appointed you to go bear fruit - fruit that will last. (John 15:16) Questions: 1. What have I learnt Remaining In Christ? What practical things I want to do so that The Life of Jesus can flow through my life. 2. God wants every branch to bear fruit. Am I bearing no fruit, some fruit or an abundance of fruit? Share your experience of pruning or trimming in your life so that you can bear more fruit. 3. What is the Father s business in this world? (v15). What one thing I want to pray and do so that I will bring glory to Him?
