St. Blaise is given special recognition on February 3rd, not only with a feast day, but with a unique ceremony that parallels the practice of anointing the sick. In this case, it is blessing the throats of those with disorders and anyone who wishes to avoid getting such a malady (or something related to the throat.) To Serve RCIA The formation for those adults seeking to become Catholic (RCIA) is looking to develop a strong team to help RCIA grow into a year-round formation process; accommodating people throughout the year whenever they respond to God calling them to the Sacraments. We need teachers and assistants for elementary, middle school and high school and adult English and Spanish formation. There are many ways to serve RCIA. Want to teach a class or befriend someone on this journey and travel with them as a mentor and friend? Are you good at organizing or decorating? How about keeping up with communications, helping the RCIA folks and the parishioners of St. Anthony know what is going on in RCIA and the parish? We need someone who is good with the behind the scenes data entry and document collecting. You can serve year-round or just for a short period in the year helping with a particular phase of the RCIA formation. BAPTISMS English Baptisms are the 1 st, 2 nd, 3 rd and 4 th Saturday of the month at 6:00p.m. Please contact the parish office to schedule the baptism. The parents and sponsors must take a baptismal preparation class. Baptismal preparation classes are offered the 3 rd Saturday of each month at10:00 a.m. in the old white church in english. Please call the parish office to register. Baptismal preparation for children ages 7 to 14 is handled in the Faith Formation Program.
