We all are starting a new chapter in our lives, so give this time and our departure over to our loving and redeeming Savior. I encourage you to use this prayer for the days ahead. Prayer of New Beginnings God of new beginnings, we are walking into mystery. We face the future, not knowing what the days and months will bring us or how we will respond. Be love in us as we journey. May we welcome all who come our way. Deepen our faith to see all life through your eyes. Kindred Sisters Choir, Bells s Game Day GET INVOLVED! Fill us with hope and an abiding trust that You dwell in us amidst all our joys and sorrows. Thank You for the treasure of our faith life. Thank You for the gift of being able to rise each day with the assurance of Your walking through the day with us. God of our past and future, we praise you. AMEN Pastor Dave Lutheran World Relief (LWR) PERSONAL CARE KITS are desperately needed. Therefore, Kindred Sisters is assembling Personal Care Kits, previously called Health Kits, for their LWR project. Page 2 Life-Lines Are there SKELETONS in YOUR closet? Kindred Sisters invite all ladies and friends of Lord of Life to join them on the First Tuesday morning of each month. Tuesday, January 3, 2012 at 10:30 am in Koinonia Café will be our first meeting of 2012. Martha Orr will present a Genealogy program. Hostess is Rea Wiruscheske. Questions: Marge Kretschmar 258-2988 and/or Glenace Klinker 671-3690 Our Annual Christmas Potluck at Glenace Klinker s home was highlighted with a violin musical program by Glenace s four neighbor children, ages 9 12 years, playing Christmas and traditional violin music. Again our favorite was a hand-clapping fiddle song. The day was completed with the viewing of Ted s outside train displays, Glenace s Santa Collection, and a very tasty lunch provided by all. It was a most wonderful way to begin the Christmas Season. Year 2012 Kindred Sisters HOSTESS Chart is on Board in the Café Please sign accordingly. Volume No. 1201 Page 3 This year the youth put tags on the giving tree to benefit Hill Country Community Ministries and tags for gas cards for Pastor to use when folks call looking for a little help. This year due to the generosity of the members of Lord of Life, the youth brought 299 items to Hill Country Community Ministries to help stock their shelves on Thursday, December 22, 2011. We had an overwhelming response from the congregation and their donations will help many, many families here in our own community. Not only were the youth able to supply Hill Country Community Ministries with lots of diapers, baby wipes, baby food, toilet paper, undies, socks, dish soap, laundry detergent and much, much more, that same week we brought food from the basket in the Welcome Center that had 112 items for the food pantry shelves!! We also provided Pastor with six gas cards amounting to $150 worth of gas! After the youth helped put some of the items away at Hill Country Community Ministries, they went out for lunch at Rudino s and then went to the Brown s house to play games and watch a movie.
