Here's what Worship Elder Susan Brown has to say: The difference the church has made in my life is that it has given me a place of comfort and belonging. No matter how bad my day or week is going, coming here makes me feel a sense of peace. The congregation is always warm and welcoming, and the many generations gives you a different perspective on life, and how everyone's view matters. First Presbyterian is definitely my place of comfort. S C O M E E X P E R I E N C E G O D S G R A C E The Presbyterian PIRIT God-Sightings How has the church made a difference in YOUR life? I'll be asking more of you to answer that question, in worship, and in our newsletter and bulletin. It's great to hear the testimonies of people in our church about what God does in our lives through this congregation! It encourages the rest of the body of Christ to hear it! Do you realize that God has done amazing things in each and every one of our lives? Sometimes we see it right away, and other times we notice it looking back. When have you seen God s hand at work in your life? We know that just by following Jesus Christ, the Holy Spirit is at work in us. The thing that I love is that we can experience such joy and M A Y 2 0 1 6 peace when we recognize the presence of God. We can receive such guidance and direction when we pay attention to God s leading. Whether we find it in our Bible reading, or worship, a devotional, prayer times, or fellowship with other believers it is life-changing to know that God is the light of your life, your defender, protector, provider, and the one who loves you more than any human being! Just think about the power of what we ve experienced in worship this past week, the Spirit is alive and well in First Presbyterian of Owasso! I pray that we would all have the hearts to know and experience our Living, Loving God.
