Everyone is starting to gear up for fall harvest, let s just hope the weather will hold out and work with everyone. We had a good turnout at our state show held at Macon in July, there was also some unique items on display, a little something for everyone. We also had a good turnout at the membership meeting, new directors were elected at the meeting they are David Youse, Richard Rackers and Ron Strange was re-elected, the location for the 2018 state show was awarded to the Platt County Steam and Gas Assn. I would like to thank Paul Cummings and Ron Gann for their years of service to the board, they have been great to work with. It was also voted on to proceed to make a bid to host the 2018 National IH Collectors Winter Convention, in Branson, MO, our proposal will be reviewed and voted on by the National Board at their next board meeting in September. Our next membership meeting will be held September 24th, at the Cub-a-Rama in Fredericktown, MO. s meeting at10:30 and membership meeting at 1:00, please check at the chapter table for the meeting location. You can also check out the Cub-a-Rama's web site out at www.cub-a-rama.com. We are saddened to hear of the passing of member Ronald Pierce, he was also the father of members Greg and Mike Pierce, our thoughts and prayers are with the Pierce family. Also past National president Bob Caloud and past Chapter #10 president Darius Harms passed away since our last newsletter, our thoughts are also with their families. Hope everyone has a safe fall and harvest season, hope to see everyone in Fredericktown the 24th! Deepest Sympathy It is with our deepest sympathy that we have to announce the passing of Chapter #10 past president Darius Harms on July 21, 2016. Darius leaves behind his wife Lois, two daughter, Teri and Paul Travis, and Toni and Jeff Brown, two sons Derek and Dirk and Audrey Harms. On August 3, 2016, past National and past IA Chapter # 5 President Robert Caloud passed away. Robert leaves his wife Diane, son Leo and Jo Caloud, daughter Tina Caloud, his mother Evelyn, and three grandchildren. On August 11, 2016 Ronald Pierce passed way. Ronald leave his wife, Patsy, and two sons members, Greg and Carol Pierce, and Mike Pierce. Our thoughts and prayers are with these families in their time of sorrow. As most of you know, Andrew and I were married on July 13. Things have been extremely busy for us. We went to Canada, trip home was not so good. After the state show we have been working on our old threshers show, just seem like time has completely gotten away from us. I apologize that the newsletter is later, I am still trying to figure out where the month of August has went.
