Surah Ar-Rahman (Ayah 62-78) Class 10 May 11, 2013 Introduction Towards the end of Surah Ar- Rahman there is description of Paradise. We cannot imagine Paradise. The Prophet SAW said Allah said: "ʺI have prepared for My pious servants things which have never been seen by an eye, nor heard by an ear, or (even) imagined by a human being."ʺ (Muslim) Entrance to Paradise is only possible through Allah s mercy. People in Paradise are in different levels that are determined by faith and righteous deeds. There are two conditions to acceptance of good deeds: 1. Sincerity - Good deeds done for the sake of Allah are accepted. We should not expect reward from anyone but Allah. 2. Following the way of the Prophet SAW we have to follow the Sunnah in this life. م Ayah 46-78 ان Ayah 62 1

One is in Paradise and the other one is in hell. If we do good then we make our self deserve the place in Paradise and we will not take the place in hell. When a person is put in the grave. In one of the stages he is shown his place in hell and heaven. If a person is righteous even then he will be shown his place in heaven and hell both. It will be said that he saved himself from his place in hell. And for the other person who is only fulfilling his desires in this life he will be shown his place in heaven and it will be said this was your place in heaven but you did not work for it. We need to elevate ourselves by worshiping Allah. May Allah make our limbs and heart work towards Allah s obedience. Our life will be worthless without remembering Allah. Everybody had two places we need to make our selves worthy of our place in Paradise. We need to work on our faith and do good deeds. Haroon Ur Rasheed s wife Zubeida was very generous. She made a long river for people to drink. When she passed away, somebody saw her in the dream. She said she is enjoying Paradise not because of the river but because of 2 Rakah she prayed for Tahajud. Therefore we should try and make a hidden good deed. Another scholar was asked what takes him to Paradise. He replied 2 Rakah Dhuha prayer. When you do good deeds we should ask Allah for acceptance. We need to rely on Allah and pray that may Allah accept it. If good deeds come to us and Allah choose us among everyone to do the good deeds then we need to thank Allah that He chose us to do that particular deed. We should not attribute the blessing to anyone but Allah. Whenever Allah made it easy for us to do good deeds we need to thank him. 10

Allah gives the honor to the people of the Quran. If you have Islam and faith then that is the honor. When you worship someone most high then that is honor. 11
