Be Aware of Redistricting In Your Community / County / State The issue of redistricting (the regular process of adjusting the lines of voting districts in accordance with population shifts) can be considered a hot button issue in Delaware and the nation. Legislatures across the country are discussing and debating how the lines of voting districts will be redrawn based on population data from the 2010 census. Over the past year or more, numerous forums have been held by various groups on the subject of redistricting. Some forums have focused concerns particular communities (primarily minority communities) interested in ensuring that redistricting plans do not unfairly affect their voting rights A Hope We Can Stand On. The Power of A Simple Gift. Operation Christmas Child brings joy and hope to children in desperate situations worldwide through simple gift filled Shoe boxes and evangelistic materials that tell the Good News of God s love. Jesus said, Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them for the Kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these. St. Matthew 19:14 (NIV). We, the disciples of Faith United Methodist Church School will participate in the Operation Christmas Child project again this year. Last year, we were able to donate over 70 completed Shoe boxes for this worthy cause. PLEASE HELP US AGAIN THIS YEAR. You can fill a shoe box or provide a gift suggestions (enclosed). Bring the items to church or call any Church School teacher no later than October 30, 2011. We are thanking each of you in advance for your generous contribution to our (and your) Operation Christmas Child Project. Diana L. Duffy Chairperson, Operation Christmas Child Project Where there is no vision, The people perish: but he that Keepeth the law, happy is he. We had guests from several churches as well as some of our men from Faith and Israel United Methodist Churches. Whatever part you played, please know it is much appreciated.
