Western Assembly Disciples of Christ Churches, Inc. Christmas Celebration 2012 Year The Western Assembly 2012 Year Christmas Celebration and Dinner took place on Friday, December 7, 2012 at 7:00 pm. More than 150 individuals participated the event. All church choirs were invited to sing at least one Christmas Carol. The speaker for the evening was Elder Dannie Robinson, Pastor of Hickory Grove Church. All participants were asked to bring a gift for a woman, man or child to be given away to a needy family during the Christmas holiday on behalf of the Western Assembly. Each church was asked to submit the name of a family or individual who is in need of assistance during the holidays. Individuals were asked to donate, can or boxed food, clothing, or other essentials. At least 4 families were assisted with food items, clothing, toys and other essentials. 2013 Year The 2013 Western Assembly Christmas Dinner and Celebration will be held on Friday, December 5, 2013 at 7 pm. We invite everyone to attend. Each church will be asked to sing Christmas Carols as in the previous years. Churches may choose from a list of Christmas carols provided by the Activities Coordinator or they may choose other songs. A list of songs will provided to insure that songs are not duplicated during the program. If your church would like to select your Christmas carol this weekend, please pick up the forms from the Assembly office and return it to me by November 15. Church pastors will be expected to send to me an estimated listing of the number of participants that will attend the Christmas dinner from your church. This number is needed to insure that we have enough food prepared for everyone. You may also pick up forms to submit the names of families or individuals that need assistance during the Christmas holidays. This form will also be sent out to individuals in the Western Assembly directory who have email addresses. Names, addresses and other pertinent information should be included on the form and should be sent to Wanda White by email at wjwhite4@aol.com. You may also complete the form and turn it in to the office this weekend. 1
