It s a new day and a new year 2007, which the Lord has declared the Year of Jubilee, the year of debt cancellation, restoration, reaping and rest to the land. It s our season to rejoice and be exceeding glad for what God is doing in this realm of ministry we need to be prepared for the harvest which is being released to us, because we have endured the long hardship of the enemy s hand and we did not give up, nor did we give out, we kept on going and trusting in God, who made us promises that He would not leave us, nor forsake us in trying times. I was glad when they said unto me, let s go into the house of the Lord, for in His presence, is where I find peace, assurance, and victory. The Lord has promise the saints that if trust Him we will reign with Him. Let us get ready for the blessings that God has revealed to His prophets in this end time. This year 2007 has promise to be one of awe, we will be saying,... I have never seen it happen like this before things happening, prayers answered, the anointing so rich, praises so awesome and worship truly pure these are things we can look for in this upcoming year. Our Prayer Request Pray for our Country Pray for our Nat l Leaders Pray that our soldiers come home Pray for our Ministry (GPWC) Pray for our Church Leaders & their families Pray for our youth Why Do We Make New Year Resolutions? Why do people make New Year resolutions? Have you ever wonder why? Well we make them intending to keep them. For example, I am going to lose weight, I will be a better tither, I will be more committed, and so on,.. I think for the most part people have good intentions on keep their promises they make to themselves, but we know that good intentions never work. My advice to all persons making new years resolutions don t just make yourself a promise, but promise yourself I am going to do it!

Volume 3, Issue 3 Page 3 New Year s Message, by Elder Corey Moses, Pastor (Con t on page 6) The questions for 2007 is what does the year holds for us? Great blessings and advancement for the Kingdom of God and I am excited about the coming of another new year. The ending of 2006 signifies the ending of many events in the lives of God s people but it also marks the beginning of a new era for the Body of Christ. Many of us have gone through some very trying times this past year and just like the Christians of the early church, we are wondering when is there going to be an end to the persecution of God s chosen vessels? The answer to that according to Revelation 2:10 is Do not be afraid of what you are about to suffer. I tell you, the devil will put some of you in prison to test you, and you will suffer persecution for ten days. Be faithful, even to the point of death, and I will give you the crown of life. In 2007 there is going to be some per- Women of Purpose Get Ready. Page 4 The Beacon GPWC Inspirational Thought THAT'S GOD Have you ever been just sitting there and all of a sudden you feel like doing something nice for someone you care for? THAT'S GOD talking to you through the Holy Spirit. Have you ever been down and out and nobody seems to be around for you to talk to? THAT'S GOD wanting you to talk to Him. Have you ever been thinking about somebody that you haven't seen in a long time and then next thing you know you see them or receive a phone call from them? THAT'S GOD. There is no such thing as coincidence. Have you ever received something wonderful that you didn't even ask for, like money in the mail, a debt that had mysteriously been cleared, or a coupon to a department store where you had just seen something you needed, but couldn't afford? THAT'S GOD knowing the desires of your heart. Have you ever been in a situation and you had no clue how it was going to get better, how the hurting would stop, how the pain would ease, but now as you look back on those times you see... THAT GOD has taken care of you all along? Exercise and Health Fitness, by Kris Bowling Why? Exercise because exercise serves several purposes: It makes your heart and lungs strong, it increases your strength and endurance, and it helps you maintain a healthy weight. In fact, you can actually change your physique through exercise by building or defining certain muscle groups over time. Exercise benefits your body not just in your teen years, but helps you stay healthy throughout adulthood, too. If you're an active person, you probably get a lot of exercise, whether you work out at a gym, play football at school, or simply bike to school. Do you ever worry that too much exercise may hurt
Volume 3, Issue 3 Page 5 Health Fitness (con t) instead of help your health? Relax - sticking to a routine of regular exercise is one of the best things you can do for your body. In fact, experts recommend that teens get at least 60 minutes of moderate to vigorous activity every day. Although some teens worry that exercise could stunt their growth, when you exercise safely and eat properly, there's no danger that your height or growth pattern will stall out. Exercise can help you alter your body composition, increasing your ratio of muscle to fat. And most people who exercise say that they feel more alert and better in general. Shalom Health Ministry, by Evang. Joycelyn Bowling, BS,RN What is Human Papillomaviruses? (HPVs) Human papillomavirus (HPV) is a common sexually transmitted disease that can cause genital warts called condylomas. These condylomas can occur on the inside or outside areas of the genitals and may spread to the surrounding skin or to a sexual partner. Because HPV infection does not always cause warts, the infection may go undetected. Women with an HPV infection have an increased risk of developing cervical cancer. Regular Pap tests can detect HPV infection, as well as abnormal cervical cells. Although there is treatment for the condylomas (which sometimes go away on their own), the virus remains and warts can reappear. Smoking appears to increase problems related to HPV infection. Other types of HPV can also cause warts on other body parts such as the hands, called common warts, however, these do not generally cause health problems. But how you perceive those obstacles will determine your course in 2007. The word for 2007 is to have confidence. Confidence is having full trust, belief in the powers, and reliability of a person or a thing. In your case and mine, our confidence needs to be in God the Father who is the author and perfecter of our faith. Whatever your office, title or position in the Body of Christ, you must have confidence in God s ability to see you through whatever your situation. God has promised that if you persevere and not throw away your confidence, you will be richly rewarded. Hebrews 10:35-36 (New International Version) says (35) So do not throw away your confidence; it will be richly rewarded. (36) You need to persevere so that when you have done the will of God, you will receive what he has promised. 2007 is the year to possess the promises of God in your life. Your heart and mind must be made up to follow God and trust Him in every situation. This will require you to know God in a deeper and more personal way. You must spend time with Him in order to know what path he wants you to take. Proverbs 3:5-6 (New International Version) says to 5 Trust in the LORD with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding;, 6 in all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight.
