The Blessings of the New Covenant Heb. 8: 10-12, Jer. 31: 33 Exo 12: 1-14 The new covenant ratified by the precious blood of Jesus is a covenant of life and blessings (Deut 30:19, Jn 10:10). Under this new covenant, there are no curses or condemnation because the law of the Spirit of Life in Christ Jesus made us free from the law of sin and death. (Rom 8:1-4; John 1:16-17). As believers in Christ, God expects us to walk in love and live by faith with absolute confidence on the finished work of Jesus in order to maximize our covenant provisions and benefits. Today we will be discussing how to function effectively in the blessings of the new covenant. Discussion What is required of a Christian to walk in the blessings of the covenant? Discuss. Above all, what is required of us is to believe the Word and yield to the leading of the Holy Spirit. As we desire to fully experience and enjoy the blessings of the new covenant, the following tips will prove useful and essential: Build and develop intimacy with the Holy Spirit. ( 1 Cor. 2:12, 2 Cor. 13:14) Study God's word to know His mind concerning you and build your faith. Roman 10:17, 2 Tim 2:15 Be attentive and obey the voice of the Holy Spirit. Rom 8:14 Do the word as the Holy Spirit gives you revelation. James 1:22-25 Walk in love towards all. John 13:34, 1 John 4:7-1 In the new covenant, God sovereignly establishes a relationship of union and communion between Himself and us, His people, in the bonds of mutual love and faithfulness. He demonstrates His love and faithfulness, providing everything we need for this life and promising us eternal life in the world to come (Heb 13:5; IIPet 1:3). We are to respond to Him with a corresponding love and faithfulness, and in this way realize every aspect of what He promised us. This is the deal of your wildest dream. So, step on it. You will succeed in Jesus Name.

CHILDREN HOME FELLOWSHIP OUTLINES 6-11 BLESSING MY WORLD WITH MY GIFTS JOHN 6:5-13 INTRODUCTION: God has given every child special gifts. He wants every child to use his/her gifts wisely and to increase those gifts. Increasing your gifts has to do with blessing everyone that comes in contact with you. Make sure wherever you find yourself you show love and spread joy like a sweet smelling perfume, to the glory of God your father. KIDDIES PRACTICAL EXERCISE: WAYS OF BLESSING MY WORLD a. LEND A HELPING HAND WHERE YOU CAN: Many kids around you do not know what their gifts are and how to use them, you can help them discover and maximize their gifts like you also learnt last week b. BE READY TO SERVE: Serving makes you practice the use of your gifts, be ready to offer to play the piano for your school without being asked, be ready to help Mummy out in the kitchen, WHEN YOU PRACTICE YOU BECOME AN EXPERT! c. BE A POSITIVE EXAMPLE: as a young leader you are to be a positive example in everything you do, show other kids why whenever you behave well you make God proud MEMORY VERSE: ACTS 10:38 You know of Jesus of Nazareth, how God anointed Him with the Holy Spirit and with power, and how He went about doing good and healing all who were oppressed by the devil, for God was with him. Your Commitment to the Covenant Exodus 12:1-14 In our previous discussion on the covenant with Christ which is established through His blood, we are buried with Him in baptism and Raised up with Him. He took our place so we could take His place. All we need to do is be convinced of this work and walk in alignment with this reality without falling back on other options. We must give God first place in our lives to enjoy the benefits of the covenant. In what ways can we raise up our commitment to God as covenant children? Discuss. (Dan 3:13-18) Here are a few ways to raise our commitment to God; Be conscious of the power of the blood covenant (Matt 19:16-26) Love God with all your heart (Rom 5:5) Allow the Holy Spirit to lead you in everything (Gal 5:16) Embrace the peace of God (Rom 5:1) Conclusion: Our heavenly Father desires that we prosper and be in good health even as our soul prospers. Let us walk in this newness of life. You will succeed in Jesus' name.

26th - 31st Aug., 2013 The Blood Covenant & Your Business- Part 3 Exodus 12:1-4, 12-14; Luke 22:14-20 In business (as in every area of life), we are sure to face challenges which have various effects on us as well as our businesses. Some business owners in response to the challenges in their business environment, have devised various strategies to cope and remain afloat. Sadly, some Christians also compromise by engaging in sharp practices, and condescending to other gods. It is important to understand that as God's Children, we are in a covenant with God - a covenant guaranteeing our success as long as we fulfill our own part of its terms. The focus of our study today is on our attitude to the covenant as related to our business and renewing our commitment to it. As Christian business men/women, who is God to you and what role does He play in your business? Our God is all powerful and honours His covenant with His children. However to get the best out of this relationship, it is important we understand who He is and be committed to obeying the terms of the covenant. The following are tips on maintaining our covenant with Him: Have respect for the covenant. Psalm 74:20 Be committed to doing the word irrespective of the circumstances (James 1:22-24) Don't make God one of the options. He is the only answer (Isa. 59:1-2, 46:5-11) Walk in total obedience. 1 Samuel 15:22 Remain steadfast knowing fully that God will always come through for you. 1Cor 15:58, Gal 6:9, Heb 10:25-26 Mention Others... God is a covenant keeping God who always honors His Word. We must continually renew our covenant with God by trusting Him unfailingly. Remember if your concept of God is distorted or thwarted you cannot enjoy the fullness of His blessings. Though the promise of God concerning your business may tarry, wait on God, He will come through for you. You will succeed in Jesus' name, Amen.
