Some business owners in response to the challenges in their business environment, have devised various strategies to cope and remain afloat. Sadly, some Christians also compromise by engaging in sharp practices, and condescending to other gods. It is important to understand that as God's Children, we are in a covenant with God - a covenant guaranteeing our success as long as we fulfill our own part of its terms. The focus of our study today is on our attitude to the covenant as related to our business and renewing our commitment to it. As Christian business men/women, who is God to you and what role does He play in your business? Our God is all powerful and honours His covenant with His children. However to get the best out of this relationship, it is important we understand who He is and be committed to obeying the terms of the covenant. The following are tips on maintaining our covenant with Him: Have respect for the covenant. Psalm 74:20 Be committed to doing the word irrespective of the circumstances (James 1:22-24) Don't make God one of the options. He is the only answer (Isa. 59:1-2, 46:5-11) Walk in total obedience. 1 Samuel 15:22 Remain steadfast knowing fully that God will always come through for you. 1Cor 15:58, Gal 6:9, Heb 10:25-26 Mention Others... God is a covenant keeping God who always honors His Word. We must continually renew our covenant with God by trusting Him unfailingly. Remember if your concept of God is distorted or thwarted you cannot enjoy the fullness of His blessings. Though the promise of God concerning your business may tarry, wait on God, He will come through for you. You will succeed in Jesus' name, Amen.
