Upon careful evaluation Canon s doctors say that he will need a total of six monthly chemotherapy treatments which, according to the medical timeline, will continue at least until November. Only then can the time necessary for rehabilitation be determined in order to assure the full recovery of Canon Wiener back to good health. For the moment his progress has been promising thanks to your many prayers. Let us be grateful to Divine Providence for this optimistic outlook! Please continue to pray for Canon during these next several months. May the Most Sacred Heart of Jesus reward you for your charity! 3 HELP SUPPORT THE INSTITUTE S MUSIC CAMP As in past years there has been an excellent response to the Institute s third annual choir camp! The girls dorm is full and there are currently four available spots for boy choristers. The tuition for choir camp underwrites a large portion of the necessary expenses: faculty stipends, musical material, camp counselors, room and board for 50 people. However, to make this unique camp affordable for choristers to attend, we must ask that you prayerfully consider making a donation to help underwrite the remaining balance of $1,652.00. May God bless you for your charity! SUMMER AT THE ORATORY AUGUST 19 Summer at the Oratory Raffle 2012 This year, we are introducing a raffle to the banquet of activities offered at the annual Summer at the Oratory. Thanks to our many generous donors, we have a wide array of excellent prizes. Some examples include: a Lake of the Ozark's vacation package, Kindle e-reader with accessories, Schlafly VIP brewery tour and tasting, a handmade Queen size quilt, $200.00 Cash, Cardinals tickets, and much, much more. Many of you have received tickets in the mail for purchase. If you have not, or would like to purchase additional tickets, they will be made available after both Sunday Masses or you may contact the Oratory office at 314-771-3100. They are priced at 6 for $5.00 or 12 for $10.00. Your presence is not required to win. We greatly appreciate your support and hope you will be able to join us on August 19th for this great family event. Please feel free to pass this information along to your family and friends!

TO ALL OUR GUESTS... Canon Wiener and the faithful of St. Francis de Sales Oratory welcome you, and hope that your time in the Cathedral of South St. Louis may be an opportunity to share in the tradition of the Roman Catholic Faith. Please enjoy the beauty of this building dedicated to St. Francis de Sales, co-patron of the INSTITUTE OF CHRIST THE KING SOVEREIGN PRIEST. According to the liturgical tradition, and the Extraordinary Form of the Roman Rite, Holy Communion is received kneeling and on the tongue. All visitors who are not of the Catholic faith are welcome to join us in prayer, but are requested not to receive Holy Communion. Because the reception of Holy Communion is the sign of Divine and Ecclesial unity, only practicing Catholics who are free of mortal sin, and in full communion with the Catholic Church should present themselves for Holy Communion. We pray for the full visible unity among all Christians. To receive more information about the Oratory please fill out a contact card available at the entrance of the church. If you desire to become a member of the Catholic Church, contact the rectory.
