Enter the city of Tel Aviv, known as the city that never sleeps, with its centers of culture, recreation and national history, and great beaches. Check into the hotel. Welcome to Israel: Welcome dinner at 2C, a Kosher-meat restaurant at the top of the Azrieli Center, offering the most stunning views of Tel Aviv. Visit the Ayalon Institute near Rehovot for an eye-opening tour of a clandestine munitions factory used during the British Mandate. Option #2 Visit the Arab Science School for a conversation with teachers and with Ms. Shirin Natur Hafi, the school s principal, for an opportunity to discuss such topics such as the identity of the Arab minority, feelings toward the Jewish State, etc. Drive south to the border with Gaza.

Pending confirmation: Visit an IDF Army Base and meet with the soldiers and officers operating the Iron dome. Lunch on your own, en route. Living on the Edge: Visit Moshav Netiv Haasara, located on Israel s border with the Gaza Strip, for an insight into the security complexities of Israel s withdrawal from Gaza while trying to create a thriving home, including as dialogue with local resident. Stop at Ezrat Yisrael, the pluralistic section of the Kotel (Western Wall), for a discussion about religious pluralism and freedom of religion in Israel. Visit the Kotel (Western Wall) and experience the special atmosphere of this holy site. Walking tour through the Jewish Quarter of the Old City of Jerusalem, for visits to archaeological treasures and other highlights, among them: The Cardo, the main street of Jerusalem in the 6th century. King Hezekiah s First Temple-period Broad Wall. Hurva Square, the central square of the Jewish Quarter. A walk along the Rooftops of the Old City for a behind-thescenes look at the various communities in Jerusalem and how they live alongside each other. Walking Tour The Spirit of the City: Take a Synagogue tour of Jerusalem, including the Great Synagogue, Yeshurun, and a walk to the Nachlaot neighborhood, to learn about the various communities who live in that eclectic part of the city, including the Ohavei Zion Persian Synagogue, and the Adas Syrian synagogue, where it s believed that the oldest Torah scroll was hidden.
