John 15:16

FOREWORD God gave me a mission many years ago: Go wash the feet of the young men and women who would be the End Time Warriors of my Spirit. Implementing the Apostolic is based on the experiences, wisdom and revelation I gained from over three decades of ministry throughout the world. This seminar exposes the myths and misunderstandings that have confused many and obscured the facts. It reveals biblical truths about God s design and purpose for apostolic leaders. Even though I have met and ministered with many hundreds of apostolic leaders from some of the largest churches and networks in the world, I continue to grow and learn more about the apostolic every day. Now, there is more that I would add to this teaching. We still will only know in part what God wants us to understand, but together we are called to search out the truth and continue to strain to reach the end of the race and receive the prize for which God, through Christ Jesus is calling us up to heaven (Philippians 3:14). It is my fervent prayer that Implementing the Apostolic will be a springboard for growth, introspection and change. My hope is that you will receive the information, compare it to Scripture and make the truths your own. I pray this teaching series will cause apostolic men and women of God to rise up together and accomplish greater works for the Kingdom of God. And I told them of the hand of my God which had been good upon me, and also of the king s words that he had spoken to me. So they said, Let us rise up and build. Then they set their hands to this good work (Nehemiah 2:18). Building together with Him and you, Apostle John P. Kelly

ABOUT APOSTLE JOHN P. KELLY John P. Kelly brings a wealth of wisdom, knowledge and experience to train God s End Time Warriors. The Lord uses his background as an educator, bridge builder, businessman, sportsman, ministry developer and many other experiences to inspire and equip men and women to fulfill their destinies. During the 1960s, he was as a high-steel iron worker on the Verrazano Narrows Bridge in New York and many other prominent bridges; foreshadowing his calling to bridge the gap between God and mankind and people to people. After his dramatic salvation experience with Jesus Christ, he was called to minister as an evangelist in the State of New Jersey prisons and jails. Many Christians were drawn to the ministry to reach the lost, thus The Bridge Ministries was established and became the largest prison ministry on the East Coast of the United States until 1985. In 1980, after he planted a successful local church, God told Evangelist/Pastor Kelly to Go wash the feet of the young men and women who would be the End Time Warriors of My Spirit. He then discovered many non-denominational church leaders who believed God was leading them in a new direction. A network of churches and ministries began to form with John Kelly s leadership that spread across the United States and several countries. As a strong advocate of world missions, he also began leading international mission teams. His anointing for reaching, leading and training people in Haiti, Central and South America, Africa, and other nations revealed the gift God had given him to be an apostolic leader. Throughout the years, Apostle Kelly became well known as an expert coach on leadership development, vision, missions, and various strategies. To advance his pragmatic and biblically principled training, he established John P. Kelly Ministries, Inc., also doing business as LEAD. LEAD is a two-fold acronym: Leadership Education for Apostolic Development (for ministerial leaders) and Leadership Education for Advancement and Development (for Christian entrepreneurial leaders). Apostle Kelly functions with a three-fold calling: 1. To be a voice concerning the heart of leadership 2. To mentor emerging leaders 3. To give council to leaders in transition During the 1990s, John Kelly and other prominent apostles were acutely aware of the need to unite and strengthen the emerging apostolic movement. During a meeting in Singapore in 1999, John P. Kelly was chosen to establish International Coalition of Apostles (ICA) as a vehicle to unite apostolic leaders to advance the Kingdom of God on earth. In 2013, ICA transformed into ICAL (International Coalition of Apostolic Leaders). Apostle John P. Kelly is the Convenor of ICAL, the largest known professional society of apostles in the world. Dr. John P. Kelly received his Doctorate from Beacon University. He is a consultant for several Christian colleges, small cap corporations and transformational organizations and the author of several books and MasterBuilder training institutes. Dr. Kelly speaks on numerous topics including: Church Growth, Network and Team Building, Apostolic Leadership, Next Generation, Traveling Ministry Keys, Marketplace Ministry, and Powerful Public Speaking (LeadSpeak ). The Antioch church functioned with apostolic strategy. This Antioch church was perhaps a better apostolic model than the church in Jerusalem. The call of God to Jerusalem is a call that God has given to every church: to go to Jerusalem, Judea, Samaria, and the ends of the earth. The difference between the two models is that Jerusalem fulfilled their call primarily because of the dispersion, while Antioch did so with planning, purpose, and apostolic strategy. Acts 11:26 And the disciples were first called Christians in Antioch. Antioch was a totally indigenous church founded by Gentiles and later built up by Paul and Barnabas. It involved the cooperation of both Jew and Gentile and was functioning in five-fold ministry. It provides us a very good example of an apostolic church. Just as God is raising up apostles and apostolic churches, He is also raising up apostolic networks. As God is positioning ministers and ministries into networks, some might consider it division. But just as in the military, divisions can be good. Israel s tribes were often referred to as divisions, having different functions, purposes, and destinies. But during times of warfare and worship, they united as one. TYPES OF APOSTOLIC NETWORKS THE MYSTICAL NETWORK What is meant by mystical is that it doesn t really exist. The guy running a mystical network and those close to him may think it exists, but in reality it is vaporous. There is no structure, government, commitment, or purpose to this type of network, and it thus has no apostolic validity. This type of network is usually headed by a false apostle or by an emerging apostle that doesn t yet know what he s doing. THE MOTHER CHURCH NETWORK This type of network has one large mother church, with pastors of other smaller churches that relate to it. Mother church networks have some apostolic validity, although they usually don t claim to be an apostolic network or headed by an apostle. The problem with this type of network is that it creates a welfare mentality with the smaller churches dependent on the mother. If anything happens to the mother church, the network destroys itself. THE MINI-DENOMINATION NETWORK In this type of network, a leader whose church is growing finds that other ministers are coming to him for fellowship and counsel, and he sets up a network. While this network has some apostolic validity, there is often a propensity to structure the network according to a denomination that the minister left, while substituting new apostolic terms for old denominational terms. The other denominational overtone in this type of network is often a clause in the constitution or by-laws determining what will happen to the other properties should the network cease to exist. People love security, and this type of network brings an element of security to them. The vocabulary may be new, but the structure is merely the reworking of an old wineskin. COVENANT APOSTOLIC NETWORK This is a network with a clearly defined apostle that is either a network of churches or ministers (or both). They are joined in covenant and vision. This type of network has some apostolic validity, depending on whether

the apostolic covenant is spiritually and relationally based, or autocratically and organizationally based. Organizations will always take on the nature of the leader. The leader can purify or pollute. A clearly defined leader and a clearly defined covenant are the most important issues for an apostolic network, but are the things that many fear most about apostolic ministry. Although this type of network can be destructive with an autocratic leader and an organizational covenant, it is both effective and a blessing when done spiritually and relationally. APOSTOLIC MINISTERIAL FELLOWSHIP This type of network has apostolic validity because it brings together ministers for fellowship, prayer, or to reach the city. It may not be a covering or covenant group for the involved apostles, but is valuable for finding ministers to partner with for joint ventures. This is especially necessary when attempting city or nationreaching. It can provide a sense of mission, purpose, and building a greater whole. APOSTOLIC FUNDING & FINANCES One of the signs of an apostle is the enabling to raise funds for the purpose of God. One thing we don t see Jesus lacking in the gospels is funds. Anytime He needed finances they were there, even by miracle in a fish s mouth. Many missionaries have not taught biblical giving in poor nations. The apostolic will teach and restore the biblical giving that will fund the missions of the local church and the church universal. Tithing and offerings must be taught in every nation and culture regardless of their standard of living or poverty level. No ministry should expect to prosper while violating God s law on giving. It is the method He has set up for us to bless and be blessed. The apostolic releases the indigenous churches of the world to be self-propagating, establishing and funding their own churches. There are indigenous ministers that are gifted, equipped and ready to reach their own people. These ministries must no longer remain in a state of dependency on first world churches, as this keeps them from maturing. Apostolic networks operate on a tithe or part of a tithe. Apostolic networks function on either a pastor s tithe or a percentage of the local church s tithe. This is one way that ministers honor their apostolic fathers, by contributing generously to the work that they are benefiting from. In the book of Acts, finances were brought to the apostle s feet. The apostle was not to be a possessor of the money, but a steward of it. Part of the income was for the poor, part to finance other ministries, and part for the support of the apostles ministry. Deuteronomy 8:18-19 And you shall remember the LORD your God, for it is He who gives you power to get wealth, that He may establish His covenant. The purpose of wealth is that God s covenant be established. As ministers we must honor

God with our tithes and offerings. The apostolic is coming to restore proper concepts of supporting the minister and the ministries by generous and sacrificial giving. The apostolic is also coming to restore liberty to the church by removing the poverty mentality of old wineskins. Notes: When the New Testament church began they were known for their generosity - and the church increased by thousands daily. Let us emulate them and give cheerfully and liberally. We cannot build His kingdom any other way. Matthew 10:8 Freely you have received; freely give.
