Passion: Hungry And Thirsty For More Of God Passion: hungry and thirsty for more of God. This theme is woven throughout the pages of this writing. You as the reader are immersed into a man s passionate pursuit of the Acts 2 Church. Our hope is that this book will draw you closer to God; into a more intimate fellowship with our Creator. Webster s Dictionary definition of passion: Intense emotion compelling action, an energetic and unflagging pursuit of an aim or devotion to a person or a cause. Jesus passion drove Him to the cross. Our passion drives us to the lost. T.L. Osborn
ACKNOWLEDGEMENTS The Holy Spirit being my inspiration and partner in my daily walk, and most assuredly in this endeavor, is my witness that many who the Lord has placed in my path have in some way contributed to the existence of this book. I want to voice my humble gratitude to these folks most go unnamed, but if you recognize yourself in the following pages, know that your reward is being stored up as treasures in heaven (Matthew 6:20). First, I want to acknowledge Susan Cypher, that beautiful, earthly bride of mine, (who I affectionately like to call Punkin), for the wealth of invaluable inspiration, encouragement, and sheer sweat equity that she has lavished upon this book project. This book has been inspired by the Holy Spirit, but if it hadn t been for Susan, as well as for the encouragement and efforts of Robert Fitts, Sr., these writings would not have become a book, but would instead have remained sequestered as my private journals. This project got a jump start because, one day as I was sharing thoughts from my private journals with Robert Fitts, Sr., he said to me, Brother, get this in print! Robert Fitts, Sr., is the Founder/Facilitator of the House Church Movement, now known
as The Relational Church. Robert, whose headquarters are in Kona, Hawaii, did the first edit on the manuscript in final book form. Susan and I have served alongside Robert and his wife, Joni, in House Church, street ministries, and healing ministries at numerous venues over the years. I also need to acknowledge Mark and Debbie Griffo of Glory Mountain Ministries in Vista, California (formerly with the Assembly of God Church in Escondido, California). Susan and I, along with Robert Fitts, Sr., met Mark and Debbie at the first House Church conference held in Denver, Colorado. I am continually grateful that Mark was obedient to the prompting of the Holy Spirit, when he laid hands on me and prophesied that I would become a ready writer. In Psalm 45:1, it is written, My heart overflows with a goodly theme; I address my psalm to a King. My tongue is like the pen of a ready writer. This prophecy would become a reality; two years later, inspired through the encouragement of my dear wife and the urging of Robert Fitts, Sr., I have come to witness my private notes shared and multiplied, much like the biblical loaves and fishes, in order to feed many who are hungry for Him. Now some of these private notes are presented to you in this comprehensive form. May you
partake with a hearty appetite, and share what you receive with many others! This being the forum for acknowledgements, I want to be sure to mention Laura Bodenbender, of Meridian, Idaho, formerly of Melba, Idaho, who was the first person, aside from my wife, Susan, to work on transforming my private notes to book form. Susan and I have fellowshipped many times with Laura her husband, Perry, and their children, and have often enjoyed their hospitality. I also want to acknowledge Cris Whitehouse, formerly of Lake Elsinore, California, and now of Chewelah, Washington, who stepped up to the task as the second person to work on this manuscript in book form. Melissa Tavis of Lake Elsinore, California, contributed her efforts to bringing the manuscript closer to completion, and deserves acknowledgement, as well. Robert Fitts, Sr., deserves special acknowledgement for being a wellspring of inspiration and sound counsel to me, as well as for the many hours of hands-on editing he performed in order to further transform this manuscript into a cohesive book.
Final acknowledgement goes to Rosanne Silva, who performed comprehensive final editing, and took this project to home plate. The Lord brought her to us in His good time, just when this book was ready for finalizing. This book would not be what it is, without the God-given tenacity and skills of this sister.
Endorsements From the battlefield of Vietnam to ever increasing spiritual battles as the enemy attempted to steal, kill and destroy, this testimony of Roy Cypher s pursuit of God, his engagements with the enemy and the empowering of Jesus to overcome is an encouragement to follow his example in seeking more of God. Jesus love, faithfulness, power, and race are clearly delineated in the inspiring book. Abe and Effie Abrams, Pastors and House Church Planters Roy Cypher has been my friend for several years. I enjoyed reading the revelations he received through his experiences and the word of God as God helped Roy go through to victory. I can see within Roy s life, the evidence of how God is continuously working through him today. I believe as you read Passion you will also discover how and why God deals with us the way he does. T. Edward Allen, Pastor, Evangelist, Storehouse Ministries International. Roy Cypher is not only a man of abundant labors, he is a man of wisdom, a man of Holy Spirit anointing, and a man of great faith. He has traveled as much or more than any man I know to get the good
news of God s love and forgiveness out to as many as possible. I have never met a man who more perfectly exemplifies what Paul said about himself in Corinthians 9: 19-22. Though I am free and belong to no man, I make myself slave to everyone, to win as many as possible. To the Jews I became like a Jew, to win the Jews. To those under the law I became like one under the law...so as to win those under the law to the weak I become weak to win the weak. I have become all things to all men so that by all possible means I might save some. Robert Fitts Sr. Pastor, Teacher, House Church Establisher We should know that as we walk in this life, there is nothing more important than wanting the fire of God on us. It will take us into purity, holiness and desire for all of God. Roy knows what it is like to walk in the call of God and fulfill His purpose. Read this book with an open heart, because you will be the next one to experience the Passion of God in a new way. It will change your outlook your view of people and your hearts desire to become all that God wants you to be. Apostle, Mark and Debbie Griffo, Pastors, Glory Mountain
PREFACE [A word from the author s daughter] For the years I have known my father he has always been someone who I have looked up to. The one who I would share my moments with when I was happy, or the moments I would share with him when I was sad. I have always seen my dad to be that hero in my life who would save me when I was scared or when I needed to be held the most. Just like my earthly father, God works in the same way. He is the one we can go to when we need someone to talk to when we are having a hard time, or the one to listen to us when we have something to say. Christ works in many ways to see us grow up in Him. We are created in Him just like our earthly father and see the resemblances we may have in each other. I have grown up through the years to see what it is that my father does and most of all that is to love Christ with all he has and more. I look up to who he is, what he has done and wouldn t have asked for it to be any other way. If someone was to ask me,
What is your father like? I would tell them with a smile, He is a father that cares for his family and friends. The one that listens to you if you have something to say, or pray for you for whatever you may need help with at the time. May your book bless many that read this and may they see the love of Christ that is shared in your words you have written. Love, your daughter always, Jena Lee Cypher
FOREWORD by Robert Fitts, Sr. I have met many hard workers in the Kingdom of God over the years, but Roy Cypher is much like the apostle Paul in the matter of hard work! Paul was known for his abundant labors, but he was quick to explain that it was the grace of God in me. Roy Cypher is not only a man of abundant labors, he is a man of wisdom, a man of Holy Spirit anointing and a man of great faith. He has traveled as much or more than any man I know to get the good news of God s love and forgiveness out to as many as possible. I have never met a man who more perfectly exemplifies what Paul said about himself in 1 Corinthians 9:19-22, Though I am free and belong to no man, I make myself slave to everyone, to win as many as possible. To the Jews I became like a Jew, to win the Jews. To those under the law I became like one under the law so as to win those under the law To the weak I became weak, to win the weak, I have
become all things to all men so that by all possible means I might save some. I am honored to be asked to write the foreword to Roy s new book that gives us a better picture of who he is, and not just who he is but who he is in Christ. Father, make us all a little more like Roy in our zeal to get the word of God out to the ends of the earth! In Jesus name, amen.

Roy Cypher / Representative / Oahu P.O. Box 777 Haleiwa, Hi. 96712 808 637-6225 CHRIST FOR THE CULTS is a non-profit, non-denominational Christian organization dedicated to reaching the lost for the Lord Jesus Christ. It is a Christian ministry that specializes in the field of cults, the occult, comparative religions and general Christian apologetics. Our primary purpose, being the same as the founding Christ For the Cults,is to... be dedicated to entering the realm of the many cults invading society today with an invitation into the body and life of Jesus Christ. It is our prayer and intent to evangelize and expose the many lies and contradictions which bind so many to spiritual darkness. We want to expose the false teachings of the cults and to take the confusion out of mankind s pursuit for eternal life. It is also our goal to develop in all people the deep desire to study God s Word and understand it s principles for living. We are a ministry geared to serving the community of the Hawaiian Islands. We serve the Christian community by equipping the body of Christ with a knowledge of the various pseudo-christian/non-christian religious groups and movements. This enables Christians to be able to communicate the message of Jesus Christ to those involved in these religious groups while challenging the Christian community to know its faith and communicate it to the lost. Christ For the Cults is involved in research, writing, speaking and evangelism and is supported by the free-will donations of God s people. Our ultimate goal is to glorify and serve our Lord Jesus Christ, the One who Himself said, I AM THE WAY, THE TRUTH AND THE LIFE. 35
