Praise Him! * WORDS OF WELCOME AND CALL TO WORSHIP (based on Genesis 1:1-5) Pastor: The Grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, the love of God, and the fellowship of the Holy Spirit be with you all. Congregation: And also with you. Pastor: In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth. Congregation: The earth was barren, with no form of life. It was under a deep ocean and covered with darkness. Pastor: But the Spirit of God was moving over the waters - and God spoke, saying let there be light. And there was light. Congregation: God saw the light was good, and He separated the light from the darkness.
Pastor: God called the light day and the darkness He called night. And there was evening, and there was morning - the first day. PRAYER OF INVOCATION Let Us Pray: Eternal God - we who are Your people, when we truly pause and consider the Universe in which we dwell - when we calm our hearts and our minds and gaze, we are filled with awe and wonder, and we feel the force, the Spirit, gathering about us, brooding over us, reaching out to us. In the silence, O Lord, Your voice becomes clear to us. We remember, indeed we sense, how it brings to life all that is - and how it is good. Today, most Gracious God, in this day You have made, we pray that we might truly sense the wonder of Who You are and what You have done and are still doing - and we pray that in this and in all that we do we may bless Your Holy name and be united with You and our brothers and sisters in a Holy love. We ask all these in the name of Yeshua Your soon coming Son. Amen! Pastor: In the name of the Father, and of the + Son, and of the Holy Spirit. Amen Almighty God, to whom all hearts are open, all desires known, and from whom no secrets are hid: Cleanse the thoughts of our hearts by the inspiration of Your Holy Spirit, that we may perfectly love You and worthily magnify Your Holy name, through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen If we say we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us. But if we confess our sins, God Who is faithful and just will forgive our sins and cleanse us from all unrighteousness. Kneel/ Stand Silence is kept for reflection Pastor: Most merciful God, All: We confess that we are in bondage to sin and cannot free ourselves. We have sinned against You in thought, word, and deed, by what we have done and by what we have left undone. We have not loved you with our whole heart; we have not loved our neighbors as ourselves. For the sake of Your Son, Jesus Christ, have mercy on us. Forgive us, renew us, and lead us, so that we may delight in Your will and walk in Your ways, to the glory of Your Holy name. Amen Pastor: Almighty God, in His mercy, has given His Son to die for us and, for His sake, forgives us all our sins. As a called and ordained minister of the Church of Christ, and by His authority, I therefore declare to you the entire forgiveness of all your sins, in the name of the Father, and of the + Son, and of the Holy Spirit. Amen THE GREAT THANKSGIVING

Running To Church A little girl, dressed in her Sunday best, was running as fast as she could, trying not to be late for Bible class. As she ran she prayed, Dear Lord, please don t let me be late! Dear Lord, please don t let me be late! While she was running and praying, she tripped on a curb and fell, getting her clothes dirty and tearing her dress. She got up, brushed herself off, and started running again! As she ran she once again began to pray, Dear Lord, please don t let me be late But please don t shove me either!
