First Holy Communion: Our second preparation Mass for our First Holy Communion class together with their parents and families will be celebrated next Sunday at 10:30 am in St Michael s Church, Kildysart. Kildysart National School Parents Association would like to thank all those who contributed to the church gate collection. A total of 280.06 was raised. Cuimhneamh an Chláir will be hosting a Christmas event in the Community Centre on Sunday, 10th December from 3-6 pm, showing audio visuals of local Christmas memories plus music, dance and refreshments including local wren boys. All welcome. The World Day of Remembrance for Road Traffic Victims takes place on this Sunday, 19th November. This day was initiated by road traffic victims in 1993 and is dedicated to remembering all those killed and injured on the roads and all those affected by their death or serious injury. It is also an opportunity to review how we drive and observe the road traffic laws to ensure accidents are avoided. Diamond Wedding Jubilee: We congratulate Mollie & James Cleary on the occasion of their sixtieth wedding anniversary. Mollie & James celebrated the sacrament of marriage in St Michael s Church, Kildysart on 11th November 1957. May the Lord continue to bless Mollie & James, their 8 children, 17 grandchildren & Emma their great-grandchild together with all their families, friends & neighbours. At a recent meeting the Committee has decided as a once off, to reduce the cost of graves, from 1st Sept. to 31st Dec. During this period the cost of a double grave will be 450, from 1st Jan. 2018. Draw on Sunday, 17th December at 11:15 am in the Community Centre. The First World Day of the Poor will be observed on Sun., 19th Nov. at the request of Pope Francis. The Pope explained that he wanted to offer the Church a World Day of the Poor, so that throughout the world Christian communities can become an ever greater sign of Christ s charity for the least and those most in need. The theme this year is Let us love, not with words but with deeds.
