Page 2 Feast of the Exaltation of the Holy Cross Pastor s Page LOOKING FOR DIRECTION The Pastoral Council finally got a chance to review and analyze the results of the brief survey we posted earlier in the year, and while we still need to sift through the information, a few simple observations have been noted. First, the average age of the respondents was 65.67 years old, which raises the question of how to more effectively solicit the input of the other age groups. We have some ideas on that and will be working on hearing from them as well. In the meantime, the information we gleaned from those who did respond was telling. While certain questions didn't elicit a firm consensus, a few points stood out clearly, namely, that Eucharist and service to the poor are topmost priorities. While other areas, like sound doctrine and hospitality, got some attention, the emphasis on Eucharist and service speaks to the bottom line, and mirrors almost exactly our parish mission statement. This gives us some guidance in considering ways to provide opportunities to be of service to others and to express that in our worship. Taste of St. Kilian A Huge Success!!! Thank you so much to Cecelia Burks and her wonderful Taste of St. Kilian Committee for a great night filled with food, music and fun! Thank you also to all of our community partners, the restaurants who donated, for their delicious food and support of St. Kilian. Those in attendance were entertained not only by our two wonderful bands but also by our own Bishop Kevin Vann. Bishop Vann jam session!
