A Message from our Minister, Lynn Schultz WOW! A month has already gone by since I joined all of you here at St. Marks! What an eventful month - First Sermons, VBS, Block Party, speaking at J.O.Y. and beginning new relationships! As all of you know, I am part of the TEEM program and will be starting school at Wartburg Seminary this fall. Wartburg is in Iowa - most of my classes will be taken online; however occasionally I will take trips down there for intensive learning courses. My classes this fall will be: Revelations Mini Unit, Engaging the Gospels, Intro to History of Christianity, and God & the World of Christ. If you ever want to visit about any of the classes or share schooling experience, feel free to stop in the office and talk to me. I am excited to announce that we will have a six-week Bible Study beginning the first Monday in October (October 2nd). The study is: Prayer: Does It Make Any Difference?. This study explores the questions surrounding prayer that many of us wonder about but few of us know how to express. Above all, this book teaches us how to pray to a God who sees what lies ahead of us, knows what lies within us, and who invites us into an eternal partnership through prayer. Thank you welcoming me into your Church Family - I am so excited to be on this faith journey together! Blessings, Lynn ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ BIBLE STUDY: PRAYER: DOES IT MAKE ANY DIFFERENCE Six-week Bible Study beginning Monday, October 2nd 9:30 a.m. and 6:30 p.m. in the Chapel Workbooks are $5.00.
