SLEEPING CHILDREN A ROUND THE WORLD St. Paul s Sunday School s Outreach Project During the month of February, our Sunday School is once again doing a project to help Sleeping Children Around the World. Through various activities at home, the children will be collecting coins to help purchase bedkits for children in need. Each bedkit costs $35. Bedkits vary from country to country depending on local needs, but usually include: mat or mattress, pillow, sheet, blanket, mosquito net (if applicable), clothes outfit, towel, and school supplies. (For more information go to www.scaw.org) This is the tenth year that our Sunday School, with the help of the congregation, will collect for SCAW. So far we have donated enough money to buy 166 bedkits. Hopefully this year we will get to 200 bedkits! The Sunday School children are once again asking the congregation to help with this year s project. The children are very appreciative of your support. If you would like to help out this year, you can put your donation into an envelope with your name and indicate Sleeping Children Around the World (or just put SCAW ) on it. Put the donation onto the offering plate. We thank you for your continued support of this project! Susan Brethauer Sunday School Superintendent Father, teach us to accept others just as they are, In the same way that You love and accept us all. May we be concerned not with seeking love for ourselves, But with giving love to those around us. We pray these things that through us, You may enfold Your children everywhere in the gentleness of Your love. AMEN
Thank-You Notes Dear Friend, It is so heartening when our community participates in our events, allowing us to say yes to one more person living with dementia, one more care partner, or one more family that needs us. More people than ever need the strength, comfort, knowledge, independence and community that Alzheimer Society Waterloo Wellington provides through our counselling sessions, support groups, education, and social programming. Another way for you to get involved and help Alzheimer Society Waterloo Wellington is to remember us in your will. Not only can you save taxes and gain peace of mind, but you will also leave a legacy for years to come. Because of St. Paul s Lutheran Church Cambridge, Alzheimer Society Waterloo Wellington opens our doors to individuals and families, helping to serve them with respect and dignity, and providing to them every day that they are never alone their journey. Thank you. Michelle Martin Executive Director Alzheimer Society Waterloo Wellington Someone once said that whatever we possess becomes of double value when we share it with others. Looking around us at the difference your donation has made to our organization and to the lives of clients, I know this to be true. With your help we are able to make our clients lives more manageable; we are able to restock our shelves for the coming months and replenish supplies for our many special programs, helping us to grow our mission to provide food and support to our clients who find themselves in need of help. Your gift provides hope. Thank you for helping us create a better life and brighter future for people living on a limited income building stronger families for a stronger community. Our sincere thanks for your kindness to those who use the services of our Food Bank throughout the year! Cambridge Self-Help Food Bank
