The 1000 year Reign of Jesus Christ on earth, will be! It is literal! It is real! It is a brick and mortar, earthly Kingdom!
For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given; and the government shall be upon his shoulder; and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counselor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace. [Isaiah 9:6]
Of the increase of his government and peace there is no end, upon the throne of David, and upon his kingdom, to order it, and to establish it with judgment and with justice from henceforth even forever. The zeal of the Lord of hosts will perform this. [Isaiah 9:7]
And there was given him dominion, and glory, and a kingdom, that all people, nations, and languages, should serve him; his dominion is an everlasting dominion, which shall not pass away, and his kingdom that which shall not be destroyed. [Daniel 7:14]
And the Lord shall be king over all the earth; in that day shall there be one Lord, and his name one. [Zechariah 14:9]
So what will you be doing during the Millennial Reign of Jesus Christ?
1. Satan will be bound and unable to influence mankind. 2. Animals will become peaceful and not kill each other. 3. Our life spans will be increased. 4. We will function with normal activities like building houses, living in them, planting vineyards, eating fruit, etc. 5. Nations shall not lift up a sword against nation, neither shall they learn war any more. 6. The Church of the First Born will Reign with Jesus Christ.
The book of Revelation states that the song of the redeemed is, that Christ has made us kings and priests: and we shall reign on earth.
And they sung a new song, saying, Thou art worthy to take the book, and to open the seals thereof; for thou wast slain, and hast redeemed us to God by thy blood out of every kindred, and tongue, and people, and nation; And hast made us unto our God kings and priests; and we shall reign on the earth. [Revelation 5:9-10]
REIGN: To possess or exercise sovereign power or authority; to rule; to exercise government, as a king or emperor; or to hold the supreme power. Behold, a king shall reign in righteousness. To be predominant; to prevail.
To him that overcometh will I grant to sit with me in my throne, even as I also overcame, and am set down with my Father in his throne. [Revelation 3:21]
Sitting on His throne doesn't mean we will get to sit on the Lord's throne and pretend to be somebody very very important. It means we will be given official responsibility of ruling with Christ in His kingdom. What we are doing now for God is preparation for what we will be doing for the Lord during the Millennial Reign of Christ.
that same spirit which doth possess your bodies at the ye go out of that spirit have to your in that time that this life, same will power possess body eternal world. [Alma 16:232]
When the Lord returns who will be removed from the earth, the wicked or the righteous?
And when I go, I will prepare a place for you, and come again and receive you unto myself; that where I am, ye may be also. [John 14:3]
For in that day, before the Son of Man shall come, he shall send forth his angels and messengers of heaven. And they shall gather out of his kingdom all things that offend, and them which do iniquity, and shall cast them out among the wicked; and there shall be wailing and gnashing of teeth. [Matthew 13:42-43]
For the world shall be burned with fire. [Matthew 13:44]
Then shall the righteous shine forth as the sun, in the kingdom of their Father. Who hath ears to hear, let him hear. [Matthew 13:45]
The way of the Lord is strength to the upright; but destruction shall be to the workers of iniquity. The righteous shall never be removed; but the wicked shall not inhabit the earth. [Proverbs 10:29-30]
For the upright shall dwell in the land, and the perfect shall remain in it. But the wicked shall be cut off from the earth, and the transgressors shall be rooted out of it. [Proverbs 2:21-22]
For thus saith the Lord that created the heavens; God himself that formed the earth and made it; he hath established it, he created it not in vain, he formed it to be inhabited; I am the Lord, and there is none else. [Isaiah 45:18]
The Little Season Satan will be loosed out of his prison. He will go out to deceive the nations of the world.
He will gather an army together the number of whom is as the sand of the sea. His army will compass the camp of the saints about, and the beloved city and seek to destroy them.
The Lord will intervene and fire will come down from God out of heaven, and devoured them.
And again, another trump shall sound, which is the third trump: and then cometh the spirits of men who are to be judged, and are found under condemnation: and these are the rest of the dead, and they live not again until the thousand years are ended, neither again, until the end of the earth. [Sec 85:29a]
And another trump shall sound, which is the fourth trump, saying, These are found among those who are to remain until that great and last day, even the end, who shall remain filthy still. [Sec 85:30]
And another trump shall sound, which is the fifth trump, which is the fifth angel who committeth the everlasting gospel, flying through the midst of heaven, unto all nations, kindreds, tongues, and people; [Sec 85:31a]

Saying with a loud voice, Fear God, and give glory to him; for the hour of his judgment is come; and worship him that made heaven, and earth, and the sea, and the fountains of waters. [Revelation 14:6-7]
for every ear shall hear it, and every knee shall bow, and every tongue shall confess
And again, another angel shall sound his trump, which is the sixth angel, saying, She is fallen, who made all nations drink of the wine of the wrath of her fornication: she is fallen! is fallen! [Sec 85:32]
And the angel said unto me, Behold the foundation of a church, which is most abominable above all other churches, which slayeth the saints of God, yea, and tortureth them and bindeth them down, and yoketh them with a yoke of iron, and bringeth them down into captivity. [1 Nephi 3:140]

Whosoever, therefore, shall humble himself as this little child, the same is greatest in the kingdom of heaven.
