Music in Worship We have a long standing tradition of singing beautiful hymns and anthems in our Mennonite church! Four-part harmony is near and dear to the hearts of many of us! And yet, we know there are some who do not sing because they feel they cannot sing. Remember, that Psalm 98 verse 4 says: Make a joyful noise unto 2

the Lord all the earth; make a loud noise, rejoice and sing praise! The Worship Committee have invited Ingrid Loepp Thiessen to lead us in a morning of song on Sunday, January 28 during our regular worship service at 10 am. We will sing traditional, contemporary, old & new hymns, and we will learn a bit more about the history and inner workings of the hymns and how they possibly become favourite heart songs for each one of us. We know that the dedicated singers will find this special service to be very meaningful... and we also want each of you to extend this invitation to those who may not regularly sing out because they feel they do not know how to read music. NLUMC has a structurally high roof. Let s plan on raising the roof in song on January 28. Faith Exploration Classes will begin Sunday, February 11, 8:45 am in the youth room. Contact Pastor Alicia if you would like more information.
