Preface Muslims all over the world follow the religion of Islam (Deen-i-Islam). Islam is the religion chosen by Allah (SWT) and no other religion is acceptable to Allah (SWT). The religion of Islam as we know it and follow, was propagated, on the commands and guidance of Allah (through the Holy Qur an), by His last Prophet and Messenger, Muhammad (Allah s blessings and peace be upon him). We have selected some Ayat from the Qur an (as spoken by Allah) for our children to memorize and understand the meanings thereof. English translations have been taken from Saheeh International, Saudi Arabia. May Allah (SWT) guide us all to the Right Path. Amir Zaman Nazma Zaman 4

Read! In the name of your Lord, Who has created (all that exists). (Surah Alaq 96: 1-4) This is the Book [al-qur an] about which there is no doubt, a guidance for those who are conscious of Allah. (Surah Al Baqara 2: 2) 5

[This is] a blessed Book [al Qur an] which We have revealed to you, [O Muhammad], that they might reflect upon its verses and that those of understanding would be reminded. (Surah Saad 38: 29) 6

And I did not create the jinn and mankind except to worship Me. (Surah Adh Dhariyat 51: 56) O you who have believed, fear Allah as He should be feared and do not die except as Muslims [in complete submission to Him]. (Surah Ale Imran 3: 102) 7

And hold firmly to the rope of Allah all together and do not become divided. (Surah Ale Imran 3: 103) Establish the Deen [Islam] and not be divided therein. (Surah Ash Shura 42: 13) 8

And let there be [arising] from you a nation inviting to [all that is] good, enjoining what is right and forbidding what is wrong, and those will be the successful. (Surah Ale Imran 3: 104) 9

So establish regular prayer [Salah], give Charity [Zakah], and hold fast to Allah! He is your protector the Best to protect and the Best to help. (Surah Al Hajj 22: 78) 10

O you who have believed, obey Allah and obey the Messenger [Muhammad] and those in authority among you. (Surah An Nisa 4: 59) 11

And those who strive for Us - We will surely guide them to Our ways. And indeed, Allah is with the doers of good. (Surah Al Ankabut 29: 69) 12

Never will you attain the good [reward] until you spend [in the way of Allah] from that which you love. And whatever you spend - indeed, Allah is Knowing of it. (Surah Ale Imran 3: 92) 13

O you who have believed, enter into Islam completely [and perfectly] and do not follow the footsteps of Satan. Indeed, he is to you a clear enemy. (Surah Al Baqara 2: 208) 14

[Moses] said, "My Lord, expand for me my breast [with assurance] And ease for me my task. And untie the knot from my tongue so that they may understand my speech. (Surah Taha 20: 25-28) 15

And every soul will be fully compensated [for] what it did; and He is most knowing of what they do. (Surah Az Zumar 39: 70) O you who have believed, be supporters of Allah, (Surah As Saff 61: 14) 16

Invite to the way of your Lord with wisdom and good instruction, and argue with them in a way that is best and most gracious, for your Lord knows best, who have strayed from His Path, and who receive guidance. (Surah An Nahl 16: 125) 17

Do the people think that they will be left to say, "We believe" and they will not be tried? (Surah Al Ankabut 29: 2) 18

Rather, man, against himself, will be a witness, Even if he presents his excuses. (Surah Al Qiyama 75: 14-15) 19

Wherever you may be, death will overtake you, even if you should be within towers of lofty towers. (Surah An Nisa 4: 78) 20

Those will have a share of what they have earned, and Allah is swift in taking account. (Surah Al Baqara 2: 202) And they ask you what they should spend. Say, "The excess [what is beyond needs]" (Surah Al Baqara 2: 219) 21

And that they come not to prayer except while they are lazy and that they do not spend except while they are unwilling. (Surah At Tawba 9: 54) 22

If you disclose your charitable expenditures, they are good; but if you conceal them and give them to the poor, it is better for you, and He will remove from you some of your misdeeds [thereby]. (Surah Al Baqara 2: 271) 23

Say, "Not equal are things that are bad and things that are good, even though the abundance of the bad may dazzle you; so fear Allah, O you that understand, that (so) you may prosper. (Surah Al Maida 5: 100) 24

And whoever relies upon Allah - then He is sufficient for him. Indeed, Allah will accomplish His purpose. Allah has already set for everything a [decreed] extent. (Surah At Talaq 65: 3) 25

So whoever does an atom's weight of good will see it, And whoever does an atom's weight of evil will see it. (Surah Al Zilzal 99: 7-8) 26

Indeed, Allah will not change the condition of a people until they change what is in themselves. (Surah Ar Rad 13: 11) And do not approach unlawful sexual intercourse. Indeed, it is ever an immorality and is evil as a way. (Surah Bani Israil 17: 32) 27

And whatever the Messenger has given you - take; and what he has forbidden you - refrain from. And fear Allah; indeed, Allah is severe in giving penalty. (Surah Al Hashr 59: 7) 28

And do not turn your cheek [in contempt] toward people and do not walk through the earth arrogantly. Indeed, Allah does not like everyone self-deluded and boastful. (Surah Luqman 31: 18) 29

O you who have believed, let not your wealth and your children divert you from remembrance of Allah. And whoever does that - then those are the losers. (Surah Al Munafiqun 63: 9) 30

And enjoin prayer (Salah) upon your family [and people] and be steadfast therein. (Surah Taha 20: 132) Your wealth and your children are but a trial, and Allah has with Him a great reward. (Surah At Tagabun 64: 15) 31

O you who have believed, protect yourselves and your families from a Fire whose fuel is men and stones. (Surah At Tahrim 66: 6) 32

And do not approach immoralities - what is apparent of them and what is concealed. (Surah Al An aam 6: 151) Indeed, prayer [Salah] prohibits immorality and wrongdoing. (Surah Al Ankabut 29: 45) 33

O mankind, eat from whatever is on earth [that is] lawful [Halal] and good and do not follow the footsteps of Satan. Indeed, he is to you a clear enemy. (Surah Al Baqara 2: 168) 34

O you who have believed, do not consume usury [interest] doubled and multiplied, but fear Allah that you may be successful. (Surah Ale Imran 3: 130) 35

Say (O Muhammad), The enjoyment of this world is little, and the Hereafter is better for he who fears Allah. And injustice will not be done to you, [even] as much as a thread [inside a date seed]." (Surah An Nisa 4: 77) 36

And, [moreover], this is My path, which is straight, so follow it; and do not follow [other] ways, for you will be separated from His way. (Surah Al An aam 6: 153) 37

Indeed, Allah has purchased from the believers their lives and their properties [in exchange] for that they will have Paradise. (Surah At Tawba 9: 111) 38

And who is more unjust than one who conceals a testimony he has from Allah? (Surah Al Baqara 2: 140) Woe to every scorner [slanderer] and mocker [backbiter]. (Surah Al Humaza 104: 1) 39

And from their properties was [given] the right of the [needy] petitioner and the deprived. (Surah Adh Dhariyat 51: 19) "My Lord, increase me in knowledge." (Surah Taha 20: 114) 40

We have not sent down to you the Qur'an [O Muhammad] that you be distressed. (Surah Taha 20: 2) The hypocrites will be in the lowest depths of the Fire: no helper will you find for them. (Surah An Nisa 4: 145) 41

O you who believe! Why do you say that which you do not do? Great hatred in the sight of Allah that you say that which you do not. (Surah As Saff 61: 2-3) 42

Do you order righteousness of the people and forget yourselves while you recite the Scripture? Then will you not reason? (Surah Al Baqara 2: 44) 43

But among them others who say, "Our Lord, give us in this world [that which is] good and in the Hereafter [that which is] good and protect us from the punishment of the Fire." (Surah Baqara 2: 201) 44
