General Announcements ANCIENT ORDER OF HIBERNIANS Father Michael J. O Neill Scholarship And David Astle Scholarship Applications are being accepted for the awarding of the David Astle Scholarship. The scholarship is awarded to a graduating Flathead Valley high school student of Irish Catholic descent, who is planning on attending Carroll College, or a current Carroll College student of Irish Catholic descent from the Flathead Valley. The amount of the David Astle Scholarship is $1,000 for one year. Deadline for applications is July 21, 2017. Interested students may get applications by calling Mike Kelly at 250-9895. Page 3
ADORATION General Announcements Adoration Holy Hour Pope Pius XI, as a way to make reparation to the Sacred heart of Jesus, urged the faithful to make (before the Blessed Sacrament) expiatory supplications and prayers, prolonged for a whole hour which is rightly called the Holy Hour (Miserentissimus Redemptor). If one gives God an hour a week from his busy schedule, he will be surprised at how much more tie he has for his other activities. Pope John Paul II spent at least one hour a day before the Blessed Sacrament. He made it know that this is where he got the energy to do the many things that he did. As we celebrate the Solemnity of the Most Sacred Heart of Jesus, (June 23), we invite everyone in the parish to make a Holy Hour during Adoration on Tuesday and Wednesdays. Sumer has begun! We need extra people for Adoration due to vacations, visitors, etc. Please call Ruthann @ 756-8551 if you can sub or commit to an hour. VIRTUS TRAINING If you are planning on volunteering at St. Matthew s School or for Parish Events that involve being around children and/or vulnerable adults, taking our safe environment training is required.
