Living a stewardship lifestyle may cause you to be rejected by others in today s society. For example, saying grace before a meal in a restaurant may attract some strange looks from some. But to others it is sign that God is alive and well! http://archstl.org/stewardship/page/bulletin-inserts Let us welcome, into our parish community, all the children who have received the Sacrament of Baptism today. Bowen Blair Lucy Gibney GOD BLESS YOU & CONGRATULATIONS! St. James CWL THANK YOU to all our members and parishioners who provided a variety of home baked pies for our Annual Thanksgiving Pie Sale. Page 6 This year, World Mission Sunday will take place on October 22. On that day, we celebrate who we are as Christians: missionary disciples. It s a time of prayer. We are also invited to look beyond our local Church in Canada and assist through financial gifts, the missionary work needed in the young dioceses in many developing countries. An example of this work is providing health care centres, building schools, and empowering lay pastoral workers, construction of convents and presbyteries. Please pray for the missions and show generosity on World Mission Sunday. Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength and with all your mind.
