He was born September 2, 1966 in Amarillo, Texas to Norma Jean Bjork. Troy was a Christian, a man of faith and loved studying the Bible; he shared his love of The Lord with others as often as he could. Troy reunited with his first love, Cherie Ritchie and they married on August 18, 2010. He adored being with his wife, children and family more than anything else in this world. He was a wonderful husband, companion and friend. Troy enjoyed playing his many guitars and was active in his former churches as a guitarist in worship and praise groups.no words can express the loss his family and friends feel with his passing, he is dearly missed. Troy is survived by his wife, Cherie Bjork of The Colony, Texas; five children, Kara Bjork of Vancouver, Washington, Brandon Kobelt of The Colony, Texas, Peyton Kobelt of The Colony, Texas, Bethany Bjork of Vancouver, Washington and Jacob Bjork of Vancouver, Washington; mother, Norma Bjork of Amarillo, Texas; grandmother, Charlotte Bjork of Amarillo, Texas; sister, Michele Snow and her husband, Lynn of Provo, Utah; four uncles and aunts, Ronald and Lisa Bjork, Jeral and Tammy Bjork, Donald and Jane Bjork all of Amarillo, Texas, Dale and Anna Bjork of Orem, Utah; five nieces. A Memorial Service will be held at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home, 8520 Main Street, Frisco, Texas, 75033, on Saturday, July 2, 2016 at 10:30 AM with Dr. Danny Buster officiating. Memorials Honestly, do not know what to say here. I knew Troy for a small measurable amount of time; yet felt like I knew him for years. His knowledge at work was
fathomless; what made it fun was not only learning from him; but showing him something new. His biblical mind was like no other. Such a passion and zest for learning and sharing God's Word, and with the ability to apply it to everyday life. His love for music became the mortar of our friendship. We were two old metalheads. He lived in both worlds as fan and musician. I will miss him. I will miss seeing him in the morning, conversations, making him laugh. My sadness is slowly becoming Healed, I am choosing to remember Troy with a joyful heart. Rest in Peace. RICHARD THOMPSON, JULY 1, 2016 We were so sorry to hear about Troy's passing. You are all in my prayers & thoughts. Love, cousin Mary MARY TAYLOR, JUNE 30, 2016 I wanted to leave a scripture of encouragement here. This one gives me great comfort at times of loss and I hope it will do the same for anyone who reads it. It promises we will be reunited with our loved ones in the kingdom of God. May God comfort you in this time of need. The family will be in my thoughts and prayers. Cherie and Troy, I love you both! 1 Thessalonians 4:13-18 Brothers and sisters, we do not want you to be uninformed about those who sleep in death, so that you do not grieve like the rest of mankind, who have no hope. For we believe that Jesus died and rose again, and so we believe that God will bring with Jesus those who have fallen asleep in him. According to the Lord s
word, we tell you that we who are still alive, who are left until the coming of the Lord, will certainly not precede those who have fallen asleep. For the Lord himself will come down from heaven, with a loud command, with the voice of the archangel and with the trumpet call of God, and the dead in Christ will rise first. After that, we who are still alive and are left will be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. And so we will be with the Lord forever. Therefore encourage one another with these words. LINDSAY ROSSON, JUNE 30, 2016 Cherie, My heart is so broken for you. I cannot even imagine your pain.
