PARISH COUNCIL MEMBERS FROM THE PASTOR S DESK The Parish Council is a very important group of parishioners who share the responsibility of the parish life with the pastor. They act as the advisory group and help the parish priest make the right decisions for the common good of the whole community. With a grateful heart I want to express my gratitude to Larry Beuerlein, Jim Francka and Steve Michael. They are the three members of the Parish Council that finished their three year term of service. I had the opportunity to work with them during last two years. I really appreciate their faithfulness, advice, time and the love that each one of them showed during this period in our monthly meetings, and I will certainly miss their presence. God bless you for your service and may the Lord be your reward for the great service you provided this Christian community. During the month of August we are going to have the Parish Council Elections. I invite you to consider the possibility of serving your parish as a Parish Council member. You will share the various responsibilities of parish life - social, pastoral, formation, parish programs, liturgy, celebrations, and maintenance - with the other parishioners and the parish priest. It is very important that our new members (I mean, those who will be elected in August) be an active parishioners, be involved in the parish life, have a positive attitude, have teamwork skills, be able to work for the whole parish, both Anglo and Latino, and show love and respect for others. I hope all of you take a moment to reflect and see if you are able to help as a Parish Council member. If you are able to serve, please call our parish office at 869-3646 and let us know. I will contact you and we can talk about the Parish Council and the upcoming elections. Thank you very much for taking time to read this short letter. Again, thank you Larry Beuerlein, Steve Michael and Jim Francka. You did a great job! God Bless You All Father Daniel
