We are excited to welcome and celebrate Jonah as a member of the Body of Christ! Prayer Flags Beginning June 5th in the library/ narthex, Sheryl Hoth and Trudy Kumpe will assist you in making prayer flag(s) to be hung in the narthex. Like the Tibetan prayer flags, we will write, stamp, draw, or color our prayers on materials provided in the library, and then hang up the prayers offered in hope, concerns, joy, or whatever you wish to pray for on your flag(s). The flags will be hanging in the narthex for the summer. Meet us at 9 am in the library to pray!

P a g e 2 J u l y 2 0 1 6 Love Challenge To catch the reader's attention, place an interesting sentence or quote from the story here. The verse that speaks to me about homelessness was in our gospel reading on Sunday, And Jesus said to him, Foxes have holes, and birds of the air have nests; but the Son of Man has nowhere to lay his head. (Luke 9:58 NRSV) The verses that spurred me to start this challenge, Then the king will say to those at his right hand, Come, you that are blessed by my Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world; for I was hungry and you gave me food, I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink, I was a stranger and you welcomed me, I was naked and you gave me clothing, I was sick and you took care of me, I was in prison and you visited me. Then the righteous will answer him, Lord, when was it that we saw you hungry and gave you food, or thirsty and gave you something to drink? And when was it that we saw you a stranger and welcomed you, or naked and gave you clothing? And when was it that we saw you sick or in prison and visited you? And the king will answer them, Truly I tell you, just as you did it to one of the least of these who are members of my family, you did it to me. (Matthew 25:34 40 NRSV) As I was shopping the website to cash in my points on my credit card, I noticed a sleeping bag. I consider spending points like a gift, unearned and mine to enjoy. It s like free stuff. So, there is a free sleeping bag on the way. If you don t knit, or crochet, or sew, there are New Contact Information many other ways to contribute. I noticed blankets in the collection baskets on Sunday. Hard to think about blankets and warm hats when we are under a heat advisory, but the items keep accumulating. The least who have nowhere to lay their heads will be warm because of your generosity.
