CHRIST IN YOU THE HOPE OF GLORY B. Keith Chadwell, 2017/6 High Country Ministry As the sun rises from the predawn darkness to high noon and full light with no shadow; so is our righteousness, in fact, rising progressively and is manifest to the world. This righteousness (light) manifests to the world as the divine nature of God and manifests, progressively, (like the sun rising in the East) at the appearing or manifestation of Christ in us. Through the work of the Spirit of God in us, we are, progressively, transformed; until we are no longer righteous by faith, but righteous indeed. Manifest sons of God, mature, perfect. Psalms 37: speaks of our righteousness arising AS THE LIGHT. The rising of the sun in the East in the morning is the natural analogy to the spiritual truth of the nature of Christ arising or appearing or being made manifest in us. As the sun rises, the darkness must be displaced. 1 John 1:5-7 This then is the message which we have heard of him, and declare unto you, that God is light, and in Him is no darkness at all. As the sun at high noon; Christ in us will be fully manifest with no shadow of ourselves. For when He appears or is apparent, fully in us, we shall be like Him. James 1:17 Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and cometh down from the Father of lights, with whom is no variableness, neither shadow of turning. 1 John 3:2-3 Beloved, now are we the sons of God, and it doth not yet appear what we shall be: but we know that, when He shall appear, (be manifest) we shall be like Him; for we shall see Him as He is. And every man that hath this hope in Him purifieth himself, even as He is pure. We have hope for our purification, our perfection, the hope of becoming mature Sons of God. But our hope is IN HIM, not in our own strength.
For when that which is perfect is come in truth, then the need for tongues and such things to help our current weaknesses, misunderstandings, and immaturity, ( our infirmities ) shall be done away with. Romans 8:26 Likewise the Spirit also helpeth our infirmities: for we know not what we should pray for as we ought: but the Spirit itself maketh intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered. 1 Corinthians 13:8-10 Charity never faileth: but whether there be prophecies, they shall fail; whether there be tongues, they shall cease; whether there be knowledge, it shall vanish away. For we know in part, and we prophesy in part. But when that which is perfect is come, then that which is in part shall be done away. We truly know in part and prophesy in part. Yet, as we seek, knock and ask, I believe God will reveal more to us. Being born again of the spirit of God, not only creates a new spirit man inside of you, it begins a transformation process of your intellect, will and emotions; I said process. That is; the death and resurrection process, working in you, through the Spirit of God. This process is the salvation of your soul (intellect, will and emotions). This process, is often, variously described as; the death of your old nature, losing your (old) life in order to gain a new life or new nature, dying to self, coming to the cross, dying daily. All are familiar terms to most Christians. Again, this is not instantly accomplished at the new Spirit birth, it is a process requiring your cooperation, but it is God who does the work in you. God working in you to both will and to do of His good pleasure. By the work of God s Spirit in you, you are partakers of His divine nature. As you humbly submit your old nature to Christ, it is Christ in you who will be working to change your heart and bring forth new life. The life of Christ will replace the old life that was put to death. First must come the death of the old nature, then; new life or resurrection life in its place, all the work of Christ in you. As the sun rises in the East, darkness is dispelled, until at its highest point, there is no more shadow. Just as the light of Christ rises in us, progressively, until the
Day of Christ. Then He will be fully manifest in us. This is another of Gods great mysteries, hidden from the world, revealed only by His Spirit. Our new birth in the Spirit or being born again creates in us a new Spirit. We are a new creation immediately, however it is the down payment only; the redemption of our souls and bodies are a process. Born again Christians, by faith are now complete in Him, body, soul and Spirit but what we hope for is not yet manifest, otherwise why is it hoped for. 1 Thessalonians 5:23 And the very God of peace sanctify you wholly; and I pray God your whole Spirit and soul and body be preserved blameless unto the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ. Romans 8:22 For we know that the whole creation groaneth and travaileth in pain together until now. Romans8:23 And not only they, but ourselves also, which have the firstfruits of the Spirit, even we ourselves groan within ourselves, waiting for the adoption, to wit, the redemption of our body. Romans 8:24 For we are saved by hope: but hope that is seen is not hope: for what a man seeth, why doth he yet hope for? Romans 8:25 But if we hope for that we see not, then do we with patience wait for it. Hebrews 11:1 Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen. Ephesians 1:13 In whom ye also trusted after that ye heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation: in whom also after that ye believed, ye were sealed with that holy Spirit of promise, Ephesians 1:14 Which is the earnest of our inheritance until the redemption of the purchased possession, unto the praise of his glory 2 Corinthians 4:10-12 Always bearing about in the body the dying of the Lord Jesus, that the life also of Jesus might be made manifest in our body. For we which live are alway delivered unto death for Jesus' sake, that the life also of Jesus might be made manifest in our mortal flesh. So then death worketh in us, but life in you.
The word manifest in the above scripture is rendered from the Greek concordance as Appearing, disclosure, coming, lighten, be revealed, revelation and is the same Greek word which is translated in 1John 3:2 as Appear. 1 John 3:2 Beloved, now are we the sons of God, and it doth not yet appear what we shall be: but we know that, when He shall appear, we shall be like Him; for we shall see Him as He is. Christ Jesus ministered in the earth, having the Spirit without measure. John 3:34 For he whom God hath sent speaketh the words of God: for God giveth not the Spirit by measure unto Him. We Christians, on the other hand, minister in the earth, being sealed with the Holy Spirit, which is only the down payment (Ephesians 1:13-14) on the full promise. The promise is; Christ, fully manifest in us. Fully mature, perfected, Sons of God without rebuke. That is the hope of our calling, our destiny in Christ, the Goal, the High Calling of God in Christ Jesus. This is the revelation of the mystery of all ages. Paul prayed for the Ephesian church that they might understand this mystery; Ephesians 1:18..The eyes of your understanding being enlightened; that ye may know what is the hope of his calling, and what the riches of the glory of his inheritance in the saints, Paul then explains this mystery to the Colossian Church; Colossians 1::26-28 Even the mystery which hath been hid from ages and from generations, but now is made manifest to his saints: To whom God would make known what is the riches of the glory of this mystery among the Gentiles; which is Christ in you, the hope of glory: Whom we preach, warning every man, and teaching every man in all wisdom; that we may present every man perfect in Christ Jesus:
