KINGDOM PURPOSE & FULFILLMENT Dear Kingdom Family, Welcome to the New Year of 2018. Bahamas Faith Ministries Int l is now over three years removed from the transition of our founders and well into the process of refining our original vision based upon our current environment. As has been noted on many occasions we have a forward vision while remembering our glorious past. Like Joshua was tasked with possessing the land through faith and many battles we have forged ahead by faith, overcoming challenges and obstacles as is expected of Kingdom citizens and Ekklesia. From our beginning we were deemed a local church with a global vision with the dual mandate of Transforming Followers into Leaders and Leaders into Agents of Change and Taking the Gospel of the Kingdom into all the world. We have been reminded on many occasions that the Gospel that Jesus preached was the Gospel of the Kingdom and as such we are his representatives, agents, ambassadors and diplomats, assigned the task of telling the world about this Kingdom and inviting them to experience the benefits of Kingdom Living. Just as Jesus told his disciples and followers to seek first the KINGDOM of God and His righteousness, we are assigned to take this very same message to the world, to seek the Kingdom. Our theme for 2018 is living the Kingdom Mandate. Every King has a will and every will of a King is a Mandate, an order to fullfill the mission and will of the King. We must not only speak about the Kingdom mandate but we must live the mandate if we are to be effective in reaching our world around us. We must also recognize that as Diplomats and Representatives we must have a seat at the table and must be in position to influence our environment with the message of the Kingdom. A representative is one who re presents another. Re means to do it again and present means to put on display. As Kingdom citizens we are called to put on display the Kingdom principles and remind the world of what Jesus said and did. He was the original Representative as he stated, If you have seen me, you have seen the father!. When people see us they should be able to say they have seen Jesus. Our core scriptures for 2018 are: Matthew 28:18-20 New King James Version (NKJV) 18 And Jesus came and spoke to them, saying, All authority has been given to Me in heaven and on earth. 19 Go therefore[a] and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and

of the Holy Spirit, 20 teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age. Amen.[b] 2 Corinthians 5.17 Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new. 18 Now all things are of God, who has reconciled us to Himself through Jesus Christ, and has given us the ministry of reconciliation, 19 that is, that God was in Christ reconciling the world to Himself, not imputing their trespasses to them, and has committed to us the word of reconciliation. 20 Now then, we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God were pleading through us: we implore you on Christ s behalf, be reconciled to God. 21 For He made Him who knew no sin to be sin for us, that we might become the righteousness of God in Him. It is against this backdrop and with these thoughts in mind that I declare 2018 the Year of Kingdom Purpose and Fulfillment as we live the Kingdom Mandate. Dear Distinguished Kingdom Citizens, Welcome to another year. 2018 has been declared by our Senior Pastor as the year of: Kingdom Mandate. The foundational scripture for Kingdom Mandate is found in Matt. 28:18-20 where it says: Then Jesus came to them and said, All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. 19. Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, 20. and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age. The principle idea behind the mandate is to go and make disciples The idea of to go which is primarily to influence or impact in 2018 is our ministerial focus. It is in essence, Kingdom activation. The word activation means to set in motion or make active. In order for us to become active in 2018 we have to decide to take on the mindset of a servant. Having the mindset of a servant will enable each Ambassador and citizen of the kingdom to become great. You see whenever, a reference is made in the Bible to greatness it always corresponds with servanthood. As we seek to give ourselves as servants of God in spreading the gospel of the kingdom, let us consider that the greatest act of servanthood is humility. To be humble is to remember that we are all just clay or dirt placed in the hands of our creator to do his bidding. Matt. 23:11-12 says, The greatest among you will be your servant. For those who exalt themselves will be humbled, and those who humble themselves will be exalted. And, Phil. 2:3-4 gives us a vivid picture of what humility looks like: Do nothing out of selfish ambition or vain conceit. Rather, in humility value others above yourselves, not looking to your own interests but each of you to the interests of the others. To be truly humble, we should pass all of our actions, words and motives, through this filter. It is a sure way to gauge the condition of our hearts and rightly judge whether or not we have a true Kingdom perspective. Having a Kingdom perspective is simply reflecting the perspective of our King, and He is a humble King! As Pastors, this is our prayer for each of you in 2018, that the Lord will use each of us to cause His Kingdom to come to earth as it is in heaven and as a result there will be a spiritual revival not just in our lives but in the lives of all whom we come in contact with daily; especially, as we serve with humility and grace to ensure

that lives are touched and converted to His kingdom. May 2018 become a year that we as a church fellowship become fully activated in reaching out to our communities, by reaching up for God s help so that He could transform our individual lives for His glory and for the advancement of His Kingdom.
