Wandering Editors Note So many things to do, places to go, visits by friends and family, and many events at Faith. Mark your calendar or you will miss an event. Take the time to be still to await the coming of our Savior at Christmas. Terry and Naomi Weslock Editors Join us Wednesdays as we fellowship at our Advent Supper (5pm) and then gather to worship during our half hour Mid-week Service (6pm) based on the theme: Stir Up The Power Stir Up the Power of Hope: Dec. 2 nd Stir Up the Power of Preparation: Dec 9 th Stir Up the Power of Love: Dec 16 th Don't Bake! Get your Christmas Cookies at the Cookie Walk December 5 8am-1pm Your help is needed! Bakers are needed to make this a success. Please label the candies and cookies if they contain nuts. Bring baked items to Zalman Hall on Friday or before 8:00 Saturday. Please call Beverlee Winslow (941-637-7680) This year we are adding a vintage Christmas Sale. As you put away your fall decorations and bring out the Christmas ones, you may want to replace some with new ones. If so, bring the used items (still in good condition) to us on December 4 in the Zalman Hall, or call Doris Hinze. 2

Suppers will be served at 5PM on Wednesdays December 2: Host: Fellowship: Pulled pork, salad and dessert. This year we will be adding chrismon ornaments which were made during the summer. This year Faith Lutheran will tend the Salvation Army Red Kettle from Nov 27th thru Dec 24th. We will be located at the Winn Dixie on Hwy 17 in Punta Gorda, as usual. We will continue to sign up ringers in the Narthex on both Saturday and before and after services. We need EVERYONE to take at least one shift; the shifts are 9-11am, 11am-1pm, 1pm-3pm, and 3pm-5pm. Come alone, bring a friend, bring your pet, or bring a musical instrument. Dress up in Christmasy attire, or a Santa suit, or as an elf!!! The customers at our" location are very supportive of the effort, as are the store employees the box in the narthex. The care packages containing personal products and treats are like treasures from home. Items needed are playing cards, games and movies are always welcome as are most hygiene supplies (soaps, deodorant and individually wrapped baby wipes are high on the list). Please place the items in If you know of a soldier stationed overseas, give us his/her address, and we can mail a box to them. We are continuing to collect cell phones that are no longer being used. After deleting information on the cell phone, please put it the box in the narthex. The proceeds from the recycled phones will be used to purchase phone cards for our military personnel. This is one way to support our troops. 3
