The heart of the Covenant Service is the prayer in which we commit ourselves to serving God in every aspect of our living: at church, home, school, work, play or elsewhere. In addition to participating in covenant renewal ritual in worship, you are encouraged to sign the covenant and keep it in the place where you pray on weekdays, so that it will remind you of your intention and promise to seek out and follow wherever God leads. New United Methodist Hymnal Survey From the desk of Rev. Jackson Henry, Director of UMC Music Ministries: Hello, friends and colleagues! The United Methodist Church plans to present a new hymnal to General Conference for approval in 2020. We want this hymnal to represent the whole denomination, and invite all United Methodists to participate in several surveys related to hymnal content. The link for the first survey, which is about favorite and least favorite hymns in The United Methodist Hymnal, The Faith We Sing, and Worship & Song, is HERE. The next survey, which will focus on desired content for the new hymnal, will be released in January. Other research related to music, worship, and culture from around the global United Methodist community will follow. Please click on the link above, and help us gather data for this important work!
