AWANA: Nancy Williams Awanas will conclude on May 15, it has been a good year and the Awanas team is ready for the summer break. Darla won a contest where Chick-fil-a will provide meals for a charitable cause. Chick-fil-a will provide meal to Awanas. Nancy stated there are several of the Awanas children who do not have dinner some nights. BAC: James Chambers James reported that church is doing well financially. James is working on a Financial Seminar for the church this fall (date to be determined). It was suggested that Ron Reinks (financial planner who is a past member of the association s executive board) be contacted to see if he is available to conduct this seminar. Children s Ministry: Michelle Black Michelle is working on securing early registration for Kids camp at Camp Alta. Fees are $155 (4 th -6 th ) and $140 (1 st -3 rd ), if we register early (May 23) there is a $10.00 discount. At this time Michelle is the only counselor. There will be spaghetti luncheon on May 22 to support Kids Camp. Deacons: John Sornberger Eight new baptismal robes will be ordered on May 2. Total cost $600.00. There was one benevolence request since the last leadership meeting. Fellowship: Jo Ann Sprankle Sixteen round table cloths and five long rectangular table cloths for the fellowship hall were purchased, total cost $605.00. The remaining dishes have been boxed up and will be given away. Annie Armstrong goal was exceeded. The Ladies Tea was well attended with up to 53 ladies in attendance. Page 1 of 5

Fantastic Fellowship: Cathy Sornberger 5/12/16 Harris Center in Folsom, seeing Hello Dolly. The tickets are $17.25 per person. The group will be going to dinner prior to the play. Dinner will be at BJ s @ 4:30pm. 9/8/16 Pot luck and games in the fellowship hall. Menu to be arranged. 10/13/16 Apple Hill 11/10/16 Planning meeting for 2017. There will be a pot luck. 12/8/16 High Hand Nursery in Loomis. Dinner in the garden. Meet at the church at approximately 4:00 p.m. No events scheduled for June, July, or August. Music and Worship: Dave Black The Christmas program will be on December 10 th & 11 th in the Fellowship Hall; time to be determined. It will include dessert. Prayer Ministries: Regina Patterson The theme for the October ladies prayer breakfast has been set, The Power of Prayer. Properties: John Sornberger There are ongoing repairs of the cracks in the parking lot. This will take some time as we are doing the work ourselves using a product called cold patch. Our tenant churches are assisting with this project. There were roof leaks that caused a dry rot situation on the flat roof coming off the Fellowship Hall. It has been repaired and the church is waiting on an invoice. There are additional minor roof repairs that will be done when Debbie s (the roofer) schedule allows. Sunday School: Debbie Compton Howard Tilton assumed the teaching responsibilities for the men s class from Carl. Trustees: James Chambers James reported that Lio is working on additional trustees. Website: No report. VBS: Glenn Maurer Vacation Bible School is set for July 9 from 9am-3pm. There will be VBS faculty meetings on May 15 after worship; June 8 after Bible study; July 6 after Bible study. Youth: No Report Page 2 of 5

Old/New Business: The Priscilla Shirer event was a success with enough participants to pay for the event. With the success of this event the church will commit to the Beth Moore simulcast in September. The fees for the church picnic will be paid this week. The Pastor continues to receive request from Rev. Orlando Wilson from Liberia for the church to support a local school there. The church is not in a position to meet the $20,000 request from Rev. Wilson. The pastor will start a change for Africa offering to help this school. It will be a simple penny bank that members of the church can contribute to and will be placed in the foyer.
