Dear, Customer Please find the enclosed photos of stones we have produced in available colors. The standard colors are gray, black, primrose, and imperial red. We can custom order any other granite color you like. To begin the process, I will need the name of the deceased, date of birth/death, and any inscription or symbols that you would like on the headstone. If you have an existing headstone to duplicate, we can do that as well. What is the synagogue affiliation, cemetery name, and the name of the rabbi that performed the funeral service? If you have an unveiling date scheduled or in mind, please let me know to insure that the stone is completed and delivered on time. Once the stone is completed it will be delivered to Ramirez Cemetery Services for placement. The stone will be set as soon as possible; usually within three days after arrival at the cemetery. If you want the stone stored, please give me that information as well. Once the stone is delivered, it is out of our hands. Please note: Gaitz Memorials does not set the headstone at the cemetery or provide the draping for the unveiling. You must communicate directly with your synagogue if you plan an unveiling; with a rabbi or an informal family gathering. The synagogue must be made aware of your unveiling date so that the stone will be set in time!! Once you have decided the color, size, and what you want on the stone, I will have the artist produce a color drawing. It will be sent to you for review/changes/approval. After you are satisfied with the drawing layout, I will send it to the rabbi to add the Hebrew. Once the Hebrew is added, I will send the drawing back to the rabbi for signed approval of the Hebrew as it appears on the drawing. Please note: Gaitz Memorials has no control over the time it takes to obtain the Hebrew or the approval of the Hebrew by the rabbi. However, we make every effort possible to do so in a timely manner. Once we receive the approval from the rabbi, I will then send the drawing to you for your final approval. Final Approval consists of an original signature in the lower, right corner of a copy of the drawing, mailed to Gaitz Memorials, 2022 Pech Road, Houston, TX 77055 (or scanned & emailed). Faxed copies will not be accepted.
We require the balance due to begin production (check or credit card); headstones start at $682.00 up depending on color, size, and finish. Included in the price will be two free revisions. After the second revision to the artwork there will be an additional charge of $35.00 will be added for each revision. There is also a $125 fee to set a single stone at the cemetery for Ramirez Cemetery Services; check made payable to Jose Ramirez. If your synagogue is Beth Yeshurun, they charge a $75 cemetery fee due prior to approval by the rabbi for Permission to Place; check made payable to Congregation Beth Yeshurun. Both checks, if applicable, are sent to us to forward. Once all of the approvals are obtained, it only takes a few weeks to produce the headstone. PLEASE NOTE: In the case of double stones (flat or upright) the family and the synagogue are responsible for determining the correct placement for each person. Gaitz Memorials is not privy to the information and will not be held responsible. The fees associated with double stones, upright stones, and benches are different from the fees stated above. If you have any questions, please don t hesitate to call. I will be happy to help in any way. I look forward to hearing from you. Yours truly, Linda Spencer
