DAVY AND ESTHER ALLEN Where: Cambodia Ministry: Early Learning Centre, Be Free Campaign ABOUT US: David and Esther Allen come from Bangor, Northern Ireland, where Esther was secretary for 15 years and in that time both of them were involved in various ministriesinitially they felt God would take them to where they had received their calling which was Uganda and if not there it would definitely be Africa. But God had other ideas and on the 1st March 2011, they left Northern Ireland for Cambodia. The Early Learning Centre: employs 14 Cambodians from all types of backgrounds, some of which have been rescued from horrendous situations, it is exciting work helping transition these people back into normal life. All the staff are Christians and most of them attend and are involved in the Khmer church. There are currently 35 children attending the centre, ranging from 3 months to 5 years. The goal of the centre is to provide an excellent quality of care and education to the children therefore giving them them the best start in life. As some of the children come from very poor backgrounds, this gives them a head start and will possibly help them obtain good jobs and then be able to support their families.

ANDREW AND LAURA BLEAKLEY Where: Nepal Organisation: KISC (Kathmandu International Study Centre) ABOUT US: Andy and Laura Bleakley, along with their two children, Asher and Hadassah moved from Northern Ireland out to Nepal in July 2012. Working with KISC (Kathmandu International Study Centre) Andy is a teacher and a spurs fan whilst Laura works with local projects and raises their children. KISC is an internationally accredited Christian school in Kathmandu, Nepal. At KISC, we are passionate about ISAIAH 61: 1-3, to see lives transformed by the Holy Spirit so that as a community we can bless others. Founded by United Mission to Nepal (UMN) and International Nepal Fellowship (INF) in 1987 to educate children of missionaries, KISC is now owned by the Nepali NGO, Human Development and Community Services (HDCS). In 2007, KISC began its teacher training programme called the Education Quality Improvement Programme (EQUIP) to help transform Nepali schools. KISC is now looking to expand EQUIP training into an accredited college degree in education by establishing KISC Transformational Education College (TEC), the first Christian college in Nepal.

LLOYD AND JOANNE CHESHIRE Where: Swaziland Organisation: Teen Challenge and Hawane Farm ABOUT US: Lloyd and Joanne began their ministry lives working intensely with local youth and young offenders which established a lifelong heart cry for both of them. In 2009 Lloyd became pastor at Ward End Elim Church, Birmingham. The call to Swaziland came in 2002, though they had no idea at the time that it would be a journey God intended for the whole family, though following Joanne s mission trip in 2010 and their subsequent visit as a family to Swaziland God has confirmed and re-confirmed His will powerfully to them. Challenge Ministries includes various ministries including The Potter s Wheel Church, based in the capital Mbabane a Teen Challenge discipleship programme providing 12 months free residential drug and alcohol treatment for men; Hawane Farm, a children s home providing a family environment for children suffering from the loss of parents; a residential Life Skills Centre for men and women; a women s refuge, supporting women who have suffered domestic abuse; a feeding programme; a community church planting programme called In Community By Community currently there are three of these and the vision is to plant 60 throughout Swaziland.

TONY AND NORMA COLES Where: Macedonia Ministry: Leaders at an Elim Church in Stip ABOUT US: Norma and Tony are based in an Elim church in Stip under the leadership of Angel Pavlov and Zoki Ilievski. They hold regular English classes, preach and lead worship in the church, visit Gypsy families with food aid and sing worship songs with the children and teach them about Jesus. They also help with distribution of shoe boxes and run a house group. They are also involved in hosting visiting groups from UK. The church currently has around 30 adult members, many children and many casual visitors. The leadership is looking for larger premises in which to expand and trusting God for a greater move of the Holy Spirit than ever seen in Stip before.

HOWARD AND SUE COLEY Where: Spain Ministry: Pastors at the Benalmadena Church, Spain ABOUT US: Elim Benalmadena, Spain, was birthed in 2003 by Howard and Sue Coley, initially meeting in a hotel in Benalmadena ministering to the Englishspeaking community. Their vision has since grown and the Elim Family Fellowship in Benalmadena now has a building to meet in each Sunday and a place for community activities midweek. As well as pastoring the church, Howard hosts a weekly radio show and has a weekly TV show.

SIAN DAVIES Where: Uganda, Africa Organisation: Biojemmss ABOUT BIOJEMMS: The story of the Biojemmss Organisation begins in 2007 with the spectacular rescue and subsequent sanctuary of a group of children living in an abusive Childrens Home. The children were moved to a place of safety and are now residing in Rukungiri, Uganda. Since then, Biojemmss has been established with the support of a number of individuals, ministries and projects who have been captivated by its vision, its spirit of love and its thirst for justice. Biojemmss is a christian organisation that aims to nurture and care for children in parental absence. It caters for orphans, street children and children fleeing from war, conflict and abuse. Having partnered with Elim Missions since 2009 Biojemmess mission is to support and equip children/youth to reach their full potential by providing an environment that is child-centred and empowerment focused. This environment will enable children/ youth to holistically develop into responsible and Christloving adults. By producing an environment that is exemplary of best practice, the organisation intends to set a standard of care and promote children s rights in Uganda. The organisation will also set a standard of management, advancing a model of accountability and transparency.

BOUREIMA AND SUSANNA DIALLO Where: Burkina Faso Ministry: Fulani ministries ABOUT US: Boureima is originally from Burkina Faso and was brought up as a Muslim. He accepted Jesus as his Saviour in 1985. He has trained up many church planters within West Africa and has seen God do many amazing things within the Muslims he is reaching. He is married to Susanna and they have three children. Evangelism is central to the work of Fulani Ministries. Outreach events are carried out in partnership with local churches. Regular visits of encouragement and fellowship are made to isolated Fulani Christians. Boureima is also involved largely in church planting. Since they started the ministry, Boureima has played a part in planting over 88 churches around Burkina Faso. RADIO MINISTRY: Millions of the Fulani people cannot read or write and many live a nomadic lifestyle. Spoken communication is therefore the most effective way to introduce them to the gospel. The Radio Ministry broadcasts 30 minute weekly programmes in the Fulani language from strategic radio stations presenting the Bible message with a mix of traditional music and Fulani Christian songs plus giving practical advice.

RICHI AND REGI ELLERINGTON Where: France, Europe Organisation: Surf Church, Hossegor ABOUT US: After 3 years at Regents Theological College, obtaining his BA (Hon) Degree and being a trained lifeguard, Richard knew that he was called to be a Pastor, even from an early age. Following his time at Regents, Richard then spent 3 years at Renewal Christian Centre, Birmingham, before moving to Weston Super Mare. Here he spent 13 years working alongside most of his family at Holy Trinity Church. Richard is probably most well known among the youth of Elim, as the crazy guy at The Gathering. He once stood on stage with his pregnant wife, Regi, and asked the crowd what to name the child they were expecting. The loudest cheer won and they named their son Indie. Richard was settled in his role at Holy Trinity but God started stirring his heart. Richard s passion for the lost, his love of surfing, skating, snowboarding and most other extreme sports, led him and his family to a point where they were setting aside the comfortable life of Weston Super Mare and taking on the adventure of a lifetime! In August 2012, Richard and his whole family, boarded a truck and drove to Hossegor, France. His vision is to church plant in one of the hubs of the surfing world, to reach the surfing community and see people impacted by the Gospel.

LIZ FACE Where: Romania Ministry: Corabia Foundation, children and youth programmes ABOUT ME: I have been involved in mission trips to Romania since 2001 when three of us made our first trip to Sardu near Cluj Napoca in the north of Romania. Now, the Corabia Foundation has been established and groups from all over Britain and, more recently, America visit on a regular basis to support the work with children and young people and within the Roma community. I am from Bradford, West Yorkshire, and have attended the Elim Church there for the last 30 years where I have always been involved in the children`s and youth work. I have three grown up children who all still live in Yorkshire but who have made the trip to Romania on many occasions. I trained as a nursery practitioner and later as an early years and primary school teacher. I have most recently gained qualifications in leading children and family centres. I am keen to use the qualifications and experience I have gained to serve God here in Sardu and the surrounding area.

ROBIN AND JANET FENNER Where: South Africa Ministry: Preaching and Evangelism, Emmanuel Assemblies ABOUT US: Robin and Janet are from Brentwood in Essex, and have seen God develop them over the last 15 years there have been numerous prophetic words over both their lives and they have been very aware of God s calling into missions. Since January 2015, the Fenners have worked and ministered in the Mpumalanga province of South Africa, alongside the Emmanuel Assemblies Group which is very much connected to Elim UK. We step out in unquestioning faith knowing His goodness and faithfulness. we know we will be living a life totally dependent on our faith in God as we move forward in the work that God has called us to.

Continuously praying for the country UVN aims to plant churches in villages by transforming the lives and communities of local people, both spiritually and physically.

SHAUN AND KAREN GRAHAM Where: Tanzania, Africa Organisation: Fathers Heart ABOUT US: Serving in Tanzania since 2007, Shaun & Karen along with their children are working primarily with children & young people, through the Salasala Kids Club & Haven of Peace Academy International School in Dar es Salaam. The club is a place & time of recreation & mentorship through the gospel, sports & the creative arts. All of these children live below the poverty line, many of them dwelling in unplanned housing in a disused stone quarry, lacking access to the basic amenities such as power, water & sanitation. Karen serves as the Primary School Principal at the Haven of Peace Academy (HOPAC). A Christian school educating 300 children from K-12, providing a Christian ethos & western academic standards. Over 30 nationalities are represented at this school. HOPAC also serves as the location for many of the activities of Salasala Kids Club, as the school is located next to the Stone Quarry.

JACKIE GRIFFITHS Where: Malawi Organisation: Working with Hope Village ABOUT ME: Jackie grew up in Swansea and her interest in overseas missions began as a child through family friends who were missionaries. Jackie was the Faculty Administrator/Registrar at Regents Theological College for 22 years and left in 2007 to work with the Elim Church in Malawi, helping to establish and set up a Bible School. Following her term there she worked 18 months in Haiti following the devastating earthquake. As an ordained Elim pastor, she was appointed associate pastor at the Tamworth Elim Church in January 2013. The opportunity has arisen for her to return to Malawi, this time serving at Hope Village, where she will be seeking to help expand the pastoral development of Hope Village.

ROY AND LAINEY HITCHMAN Where: Hungary, Europe Organisation: Hitched ABOUT US: Married in 1989 Roy and Lainey have three grown children and are moving into a new phase of life as empty nesters. They use Hungary as their base and minister (primarily) throughout Europe. They have ministered to marriages since 1993 with 2=1 and are now stepping out into something new! Although there are a number of elements to what they are doing they came up with an easy name to remember for those who are scratching their heads trying to remember that couple who work with marriages. Hitched is an umbrella to cover a number of different aspects of their relationships ministry. Hitched includes a number of ministries including: Teaching, Training, Caring, Sharing, Life! for Singles.

DAVE AND NAOMI HODGSON Where: Spain Ministry: Pastors at the Calahonda Church, Spain ABOUT US: Dave originates from Derby City Church and worked as an Assistant Pastor at Elim Coventry for six years. After moving to Spain in 2009 he worked alongside Howard and Sue Coley and married their daughter Naomi. As of May 2014 Dave and Naomi took on the pastorate of the Calahonda church, Spain.

DOM AND SARAH JOHN Where: Germany Ministry: KCC (Cologne City Church) WHY GERMANY: Cologne is the fourth largest city in Germany and has 1,3 million inhabitants. It s well known for its huge cathedral (the Dom, we thought that was a sign!) and its chocolate museum (definitely a sign!). It s also home of one of Europe oldest and largest University. Cologne is the media capital of the German Federal State of North Rhine-Westphalia and has a strong influence on the area. However, the number of born again Christians is extremely low with very few growing Evangelical churches and strong suspicions of non-state churches. Although Germany is an economically strong country, it s spiritual state is very poor. That s why we believe it s a great place to start a new church - Cologne City Church. KCC: We moved to Cologne in June 2015 from Derby. About a year before moving we had asked a bunch of old friends back in Germany if they wanted to join us in the adventure of starting a new church. Funnily enough, quite a few were up for it, lived close to Cologne or relocated shortly after us. Pretty quickly we had a good team of quality people around us wanting to join in the vision. Four weeks after we moved into our new flat, we started opening up our home to celebrate our first dinner parties. For seven consecutive weeks, once a week, our flat was packed with hungry and happy strangers who either were looking for a church or had nothing to do with God. Our first official service was in December & over 100 people attended!

NOVI AND SHERYL MAATITAWAER Where: Indonesia Organisation: YWAM ABOUT US: Novi and Sheryl are a husband and wife team who run a children s home ministry under YWAM. Sheryl has started a new ministry for pregnant single mothers and single mums with babies, providing a live in support and discipleship, teaching parenting and life skills and job training to equip them to be independent and self supporting eventually.

BOB AND EDITH MCDONALD Where: Romania Ministry: Childrens and teens work ABOUT US: Bob and Edith were married in 1970 and have two sons. They pastored Elim churches in Gosport, Tamworth, Rotherham and latterly in Bradford for 18 years. In 2001 Bob became involved in ministry in Romania and in August 2005 he followed God s call to live there with Edith arriving in Romania shortly after. It was the plight of children and teens in rural villages that was and is the main focus of their ministry in Romania. Bob and Edith run children s and youth clubs at Casa Sperantei - meaning House of Hope that was designed to accommodate such meetings. However, by the Spring of 2009 the number of children and teens was too great to be accommodated in the house so the construction of a family centre was commenced in March 2009. Currently five clubs from five villages use the new centre every week with the McDonalds providing transport via two minibuses. Three English classes are held each week on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday afternoons. Each Wednesday evening an all-age club is held; Thursday evenings music and puppet workshops; Friday evenings teens club.

JOHN AND RACHEL MCDONOUGH Where: Paraguay Ministry: Evangelism and outreach ABOUT US: John and Rachel have been involved, individually and together, in overseas missions since 2002. Both their experiences in South America gave them a real passion to reach the young people of Central and South America with the saving message of the gospel. Since 2007 they have been involved with, lived in and worked alongside the Elim supported children s home in the south of Paraguay. In 2010-12 they served with Elim in Honduras, supporting the youth work, administration between the UK and Honduras and helping with Project Joseph. In September 2012 they moved back out to Paraguay to pioneer a ministry reaching the last, least and the lost.

GORDON AND SYBIL MCKILLOP Where: Zambia, Africa Organisation: Nyangombe Bible Training Centre ABOUT US: Gordon is married to Sybil and they have three children and seven grandchildren. Gordon and Sybil come from Motherwell and served with Elim International Missions in the Democratic Republic of Congo for 17 years before moving in 1999 to Nyangombe in the North Western Province of Zambia on the border with Angola and DRC. NYANGOMBE BIBLE TRAINING CENTRE: Primarily leadership training with a clear focus on Christianity in Culture through Bible teaching is undertaken at Nyangombe Bible School. Besides this children s workers are trained, new Christians discipled and many varied youth training programmes are taught all, with a Christian lifestyle emphasis. Carpentry, building, tailoring, IT, agriculture, literacy, animal husbandry, health and hygiene are all taught at Nyangombe. A strong medical work with nutrition programmes and wide ranging vaccination programmes, together with quality rural health care is provided for the large population. HIV/AIDS training is given to every level of society as we challenge this scourge across Zambia. Widows and orphans support programmes incorporating school sponsorship are also run from Nyangombe.

IAN AND HILDA MCMILLAN Where: Kenya Ministry: Hope and Kindness ABOUT US: Ian and Hilda McMillan are from Paisley Elim. Having taken early retirement in 2011 they are now working with a ministry called Hope & Kindness with Terry and Judi Mott. They are involved primarily in the role of facilitating and supporting the church leaders in their leadership. HOPE AND KINDNESS: has established Kosele Christian Community children s home and schools. The children s home was started in 2002 and currently cares for 30 orphans, mostly teenagers. The primary school provides free education to around 180 children, mostly orphans and vulnerable children, aged from 3 to 17. An agricultural college has recently opened to provide post-primary academic and vocational education. The project s own farm is now providing much of the food requirements as well as a teaching facility for the college and the community. In 2002 Hope & Kindness also established a church which now has nearly 200 adults and children. In 2012 it become a member church of Elim Gospel Church Kenya. The project is also involved in development and assistance to people in the local community.

RACHEL & OSCAR MENDOZA Where: Guatemala Ministry: Church Planting, reaching those who are rejected or overlooked. OUR MINISTRY: We met on mission in Guatemala and both have a real heart for the country and the people. We are so excited to have the privilege of working and serving in the community and seeing what God wants to do in the lives of His people there. In 2015 we begin our journey with Elim International Missions and are being sent out by our home church, City Church St. Albans. Our desire is to take God s love to the unloved, those who are rejected or overlooked. We long to see people restored and changed by God and by knowing His love for them. We really value your prayers, especially at this time as we take our first steps into this new territory. We want to invite you to be part of the work we are doing, your prayers are really important. Thank you.

MARTIN AND RUTH MOHR Where: France into N. Africa Ministry: Radio and TV ABOUT US: With a background in electronics and audio production Martin was sent out by Harlow Elim, later known as Kingsmoor Community Church, and currently Light-House, in 1984. Studied French and Classical Arabic in Montpellier, then colloquial Arabic in Morocco, worked producing evangelistic radio programmes at AWM s media centre in Marseille, France. In 2012 Martin started working with Channel North Africa (CNA), a Christian satellite TV broadcaster covering N. Africa and Southern Sahara and currently has responsibility for the programming schedule, but also do editing of Arabic productions.

TERRY AND JUDI MOTT Where: Kenya Ministry: Hope and Kindness ABOUT US: In July 2002 Terry and Judi Mott and their 2 children, Tom and Ellie, left their home in Redditch and spent 12 months living in Kosele, a small village in an extremely poor part of rural Western Kenya. In that year they started a children s home and school. Since then things have gone from strength to strength and the children s home and school in Kosele are thriving. Unfortunately the frequent droughts, HIV, unsafe drinking water and a lack of affordable treatment for diseases like malaria, TB and typhoid continue to make Kosele a very tough place to live. Hope And Kindness has established Kosele Christian Community children s home and schools.

TRACEY MOYES Where: Swaziland Organisation: Challenge Ministries Swaziland, Mission Impact ABOUT ME: Having experienced God s love and saving grace as a young girl I knew that God was good, however it was only years later where that knowledge was shaken, when my husband died of cancer, that I truly came to an understanding of just how good and loving God is. Through my journey of brokenness and into healing I have discovered what it means to truly be a daughter of God. To know Him and to be known by Him. My desire is that everyone would know this, I have a particular heart to see women and girls who have been broken by abuse or loss find healing and know their identity as daughters of God. And to be restored and to know Him as a good and loving Father. I felt God call me to Swaziland 3 months after my husband died. Over the last 6 years God has confirmed again and again that He is calling me to serve in Africa, particularly in Swaziland. I serve at the CMS Mission Impact base in Hawane, where I host teams of volunteers who come for a few weeks or months at a time to serve the widows and orphans, teach at the schools, pray for the sick in the hospitals and help with medical outreach. I serve the Swazi women who need help in any way that God leads me to meet their needs and show them His love and goodness.

ZISO AND NICKI MOYO Where: Zambia, Africa Ministry: Church Leaders and childrens work ABOUT US: Ziso and Nicky have been married for 9 years and have three children Zach (7), Zoe (5) and Zara (2). Ziso is the senior pastor of the main Elim church, in Zambia and is also the general secretary of Elim Zambia. Nicki started a children s ministry in a local village in 2001 and still goes there along with her family to do a bible programme. Nicki also runs a bible club in a local international school. They started building an orphanage Oasis Village when they had a visit from the ulster temple Elim team in 2007 and the first two children moved in a few weeks ago.

JAMES AND JOANNA MARTIN Where: Rwanda Ministry: Youth and young leaders OUR MINISTRY: We both feel that it is God s will for us to serve His kingdom in Rwanda working alongside Inkuru Nziza, an established church organisation with which we already have strong links. Additionally we will both be going as Elim missionaries with the Elim International Missions. Our vision it to work within Inkuru Nziza with our focus on children and young people. Rwanda is a nation that has an incredibly young population with 42.1% of its population being made up of children who are 0-14 years old. It is these young people who will continue to help re-build a nation ruined by the horrific acts of the 1994 genocide and therefore investing in these young people holds a great sense of purpose. Our work would include pastoring the youth of the church and seeking to reach out to the young people who are yet to have made a commitment to Christ. Additionally we would train children s workers and youth pastors from other churches in the Inkuru Nziza network. This would involve running training conferences for the youth pastors in Kigali (Rwanda s capital city conveniently located in the centre of the country). Working with young people has always been on our hearts and we see it as fitting into our wider calling and gifting.

LYNETTE ORANGE Where: Philippines Organisation: City Gates Academy ABOUT ME: Lynette grew up in Rugby and has been a lifelong member of Elim Rugby Christian Fellowship. After training to be a primary school teacher and teaching for five years, Lynette went to serve in the Philippines on a short term team working as a volunteer teacher. This had a huge impact on her life and following a return trip in 2010 Lynette felt the call of God to return to the Philippines on a long term basis. Lynette was accepted as an Elim Missionary working with City Gates Academy, Manila and arrived there in April 2011. CITY GATES ACADEMY: is a high quality pre-school from Monday to Friday, where the most disadvantaged receive a free education in exchange for 12-hours of work every month from the children s parents. In addition to the educational program, at the weekends City Gates also hold a Saturday morning feeding program and youth choir open to all children in the local community. They also run activities throughout the summer including summer school and medical missions. City Gates is meeting the needs of their community not just educationally but physically and spiritually.

CLAIR OATES Where: Swaziland Ministry: Challenge Ministries, Hawane Farm and Community ABOUT ME: I have been a part of Dewsbury Elim Church for 27 years, raised my family there, and served as an Elder for 7 years. In 2012 I went to Uganda on a mission trip which changed me dramatically. As a qualified nurse for 14 years, I had the opportunity of going to Swaziland in 2013 and felt led to go back full time in May 2014, joining the health team in Challenge Ministries Swaziland, using health clinics to help people and show them God s love in a compassionate way. HIV and TB is a huge issue in Swaziland and they face huge challenges. The vision is to compassionately win Swaziland, through partnering with likeminded individuals, churches and organisations; to train up a remnant to preserve the future by becoming an accurate representation of Christ being lived out amongst communities; to send out empowered believers from a restored Swaziland to a world in need. It is an honour to serve God in this way.

GEOFF AND ERICA SAUNDERS Where: Zimbabwe Ministry: Pastors ABOUT US: Elim has a long history in Zimbabwe going back to the days of Rhodesia. The country brings many challenges with its soaring rate of inflation. Elim not only have 55 churches but also 2 mission stations. One at Penhalonga with a church, a primary school of over 400 children and residential school of 25 for the deaf and dumb. Katere has a primary school of 900, a residential secondary school of 750 and a 75 bed hospital. Geoff and Erica Saunders work alongside the National Leader Pious Munembe.

He walked from Treriksröset to Avesta and prayed for the country. God lead them to Bäsksele, a little village in the Vilhelmina County where they bought a farm and started their work with a Discipleship Training School.

TIM AND ALI ROBINSON Where: Nigeria Organisation: Wycliffe Bible Translators UK ABOUT US: Tim & Ali Robinson, have a son called Dan. Working in partnership with Wycliffe Bible Translators UK, whose vision is to see a Bible translated into every language of the world, they serve in Nigeria. They both grew up as Wycliffe kids, Ali in Ghana and Tim in Papua New Guinea but we had no idea God would lead them in this direction. Nigeria has a total of 520 languages, over 300 of which don t have a single word of scripture yet. There is a massive need for Bible translation. In fact, the country has the second biggest need for Bible translation in the world. Tim is responsible for overseeing funding for around 12 Bible translation projects and resource departments in Nigeria, helping to keep the money flowing in and the information flowing out! He is also involved in doing special projects for the director. These can range from organising meetings to building websites, and a variety of things in between. Each job is something that needs doing but doesn t fit naturally into anyone else s role. So instead of distracting someone from their primary job, Tim can take it on.
