Mangohick Baptist Church Dr. Elijah L. Campbell, Pastor 804-994-5390 mangohickbaptistchurch147@gmail.com www.mangohickbc.org MAY 2015 But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you. Matthew 6:33 Campbell s Corner Greetings to all our Family and Friends, I was glad when they said unto me, Let us go into house of the Lord. In celebration of upcoming Mother s Day, let me wish all Mothers a wonderfully blessed Mother s Day. For it was a Mothers Love that help shaped and molded into the person we are today. Starting with this month and continuing through the course of the year I will teach the Sunday School Lesson on the first Sunday of each month. In addition; as we continue to develop and enhance our biblical knowledge, we will provide a Special Sunday School focus during the month of July that you are highly encouraged to attend. In striving to be mature believers in the Kingdom of God, we must not only receive the gift of Salvation, but we must also learn how to operate in our Spirit Gifts within the Body of Christ. Therefore we must move beyond the gate of the Kingdom and advance forward into the Kingdom and embrace all that God has for us. In during so there must be a Mind Shift on our part and our perception of things must change where we begin to see things the way God sees it. Therefore, let me celebrate and thank you the Mangohick Baptist Church for all of your ministry efforts and endeavors. We are becoming a very active church and I personally know that the pace is going to increase. Therefore, continue to be steadfast and unmovable in your ministry responsibilities and what you are doing in the Church and for our Lord. Special Thanks for your support during our Ministry Outreaches in March and April. Additionally, we will be engaged in Ministry Outreaches this month and again during the month of June. I encourage each of you for as much as you can to lend your support to our upcoming Ministry Outreaches. Lastly, as always continue to keep our sick and shut-in members in your prayers. The Gift of Moms Love There are so many material things That we may receive as a gift Cars, homes, jewels and shoes So many things on this list But the one thing that we have Is the gift of a moms love For she gives that at no cost; no price But from the heart and from God above A mom s love is the one thing On which we can always depend Even in her discipline A mom s love has no end Her gift of love is soothing It comforts us when we are feeling low It s like a hug just when you need it It s a love that only a mom will know A mom s love is gentle It seems to reach deep inside It touches that innermost part That we sometimes try to hide For in her womb she knew you Her daughter; her son She knows of your joys your sorrows She knows each; one by one She gives to each child The love that they each need She nurtures them in love Teaching them; watching them succeed She allows them a pathway Always by their side Her prayers that you follow Christ That He will protect, lead and guide Some remember their moms love Although she may no longer be here But the love that she s left with you Always seems ever so near But a mom s love will never leave you Because she gives a love like no other What better gift to have Than the love received from a Mother! ~ THE MONTH OF MAY - THE BIBLE MEETS LIFE ~ May 3, 2015 The Passage: Acts 9:26-28; 11:21-26 The Point: Stick With Encouragement May 10, 2015 The Passage: Matthew 18:21-28; 32, 33 The Point: Stick With Forgiveness May 17, 2015 The Passage: Galatians 5:13-15, 6:1-5, 10 The Point: Stick With Service May 24, 2015 The Passage: Philippians 2:1-5, 13-15 The Point: Stick With Humility May 31, 2015 The Passage: Romans 14:1-4, 13-19 The Point: Stick With Acceptance Since the 1940s, Americans have been popping multivitamins in their mouths every day. We know we need these important vitamins and minerals, and even though a healthy diet is likely to give us all we need, half of us go the extra step and buy multivitamins or supplements. A daily dose is good for us. We could use a daily dose of something else too. Let s call it spiritual and emotional vitamin; the vitamin of encouragement. We were created to live in relationship with others, and there is a hunger within us for the affirmation of others. We need a healthy supply of encouragement from others in order to grow as God intends. Just ask any athlete about the benefit they gain when they have the home field advantage. Encouragement bolsters us. Unfortunately, too many of us face a deficiency in this area. Our lives grow weak without encouragement. And so can our relationships. Barnabas was a natural encourager. His life challenges us to be a source of encouragement to others. We support the other person and strengthen our relationship when we look for ways to offer encouragement.
