I want to thank all of those who volunteered to support the Special Olympics. I have heard from several that everyone (athletes, parents, volunteers and sponsors) had a great time. This is just another example of how our ASMC members take that extra step to help others. As the weather turns colder and we head into the holiday season I know that we will have several opportunities to volunteer or make a donation to those in need. Several upcoming events include: collecting blankets for the homeless at our December luncheon and in December we need volunteers for the National Children's Advocacy Center Healthy Families Party on the 15th; Salvation Army Angel Tree and Toys for Tots. Each month our Community Projects committee collects toiletries to donate to the shelters. For more info on our community projects or to volunteer please contact Tony McAdory or Gwen Davis.
