Missionary Responsibilities Encourage members to submit referrals through LDS Tools and LDS.org and to participate as missionaries teach their friends. Contact the referring member as soon as possible after receiving a referral to learn more about the member s friend and plan how to best help them. Invite the referring member to use video chat, phone calls, and other available technologies to participate in teaching and fellowshipping. Update the referral status in Referral Manager or Area Book Planner so that the referring member knows his or her referral has been contacted. 18
How s Can Participate Prayerfully consider who to invite to learn about the gospel. Ask the person if he or she would like to be contacted by missionaries. If the person agrees, submit a referral through LDS Tools or lds.org/referrals, contact the missionaries and plan how you ll work together to teach your friend. Continue to support your friend as he or she is learning. 19
