JOURNEY Cross and Crucifixion Sponsored by St. Luke Youth Group Friday March 9, 2018 Come witness this live performance in St. Luke Church. For the past 24 years, the members of Creative Ministries have been delivering this powerful presentation. This year we can all be part of this powerful and prayerful Lenten experience. The troupes are made up of volunteer actors, singers and musicians who use their gifts to bring the Passion Story to life. We invite all of you to attend! The Journey, Cross and Crucifixion is a journey back through time. It is an opportunity to walk with Christ and become one with Him and the people who walked with Him. For many who have shared the Journey it is almost as if it were happening now for the first time. The music, narration, dialogue and poignant silences all add to the power of this prayerful meditation. To be part of the Journey, Cross, and Crucifixion is to experience the complete and utter frustration devastation of Mary, the frustration of Simon, the loneliness and desolation of John, Pilate s struggle between justice and expediency and the excruciating pain and degradation Jesus suffered on the way to Calvary and His ultimate death on the Cross. RING DAY Congratulations to the 8th Graders from Saint Luke School on receiving their school ring at a special prayer service on Friday, January 19th. Students and families celebrated with refreshments after the service and later, the students joined 7th Graders at a dance in the Gym. May God continue to bless our 8th Graders and may their rings always remind them of their years at Saint Luke and their love of Christ. Congratulations to our Catholic Schools Week fun contest winner, Ashley Wakie from 8-2. Ashley made the closest guess to the actual number of Hershey kisses in the jar without going over.
