Catholic Faith Magazine May 1998, Sharing Christ s Light, The Catholic Standard BRIEF BIOGRAPHY: Dr. James Pauley is associate professor of Theology and Catechetics and has served on the Theology faculty at Franciscan University of Steubenville since 2002. He received his Doctorate in Sacred Theology from the Liturgical Institute at the University of St. Mary of the Lake/Mundelein Seminary (Mundelein, IL) in May of 2014. His doctoral research was focused on the twentieth century history of the renewal of liturgy and catechesis and the proposal of principles for the revitalization of liturgical catechesis in contemporary ecclesial life. In 2014, Dr. Pauley was appointed founding editor of, Franciscan University s journal dedicated to the new evangelization. He is completing his first book on the revitalization of liturgical catechesis, due to be published by Liturgical Training Publications in 2017. He is a frequent speaker in dioceses and parishes nationwide on topics related to the renewal of catechesis for the sake of authentic discipleship and the new evangelization. Dr. Pauley began working as a parish catechetical leader in 1989 in Phoenix and has served professionally in parish, diocesan and university catechetical formation for more than twenty-five years. A native of Arizona, James is married to Katrina and they are blessed with three beautiful daughters.
