We are a grwing church, part f the Church f England, n the east side f High Wycmbe with a visin t be a transfrming presence in the heart f ur cmmunity. We have achieved much but have dreams t d much mre. We are at an exciting time in the life f St Andrew s. Due t recent grwth, we have recently multiplied ur Sunday mrning services. We appinted a Yuth Pastr in September 2011 and we run a wide range f activities that serve ur cmmunity. We have als recently appinted a Children s Pastr. The number f yung peple at St Andrew s n a Sunday mrning and thrughut the week has really grwn ver the last 3 years. This has mainly been due t the input f a Yuth Pastr wh has fcused their gifts and energy in grwing the yung peple as fllwers f Jesus. We have ver 40 yung peple aged 11-18 regularly invlved in ur Sunday mrning and weekly grups, but this can grw t be as high as 60, and we have a great grup f peple leading and supprting this wrk. We are lking fr a Yuth Pastr wh can: Develp and grw an established yuth ministry that enables yung peple t encunter Jesus Help the yung peple in their discipleship, faith and expectancy that Gd can use them in the church f tday Encurage yung peple t develp their faith and discipleship tgether alng with thers such as mentrs. Reach ut t yung peple wh dn t knw Jesus yet by develping and cntinuing links with schls, Fresh Cafe and ur ther cmmunity utreach events. We have a clear idea f the type f persn we need and sme f the areas we d like t see grw, as well as being excited t explre further pssibilities and ways t develp the rle. Respnsibilities: 1. Encuraging yung peple in their faith - Develp new and existing ways t disciple and train yung peple t be passinate fllwers f Jesus. Alngside this encuraging yung peple t wait fr Gd t use them in spirit empwered minister. - T supprt and be invlved in prcess f mentring yung peple and seeking ut new mentring relatinships when needed. - Prvide pprtunities fr the yung peple t engage in relevant missin and utreach. - T ensure that ur yuth ministry teaching reflects the eths and values f the church, and the adult teaching prgramme. 2. Building up and supprting leaders - T be respnsible fr the recruitment and regular training f leaders and t supprt them in develping the skills t wrk with yung peple. - T plan, crdinate and supervise the teaching f Sunday grups, including the selectin f suitable teaching materials and resurces and ensuring adequate supervisin f grups accrding t statutry rati requirements. - T wrk with the Child Prtectin C-rdinatr and thers t ensure that St Andrew s meets the requirements f relevant legislatin and gd practice regarding the safeguarding f yung peple. 3. Administratin Management - Ensure that all legal requirements are met and adhere and supprt the embedding f all St Andrew s plicies including Health and Safety, Child Prtectin, data prtectin, Equality and Diversity. - Ensures apprpriate risk management arrangements are in place. - Oversee and ensure smth administratin prcesses that supprt the ministry, including cmmunicatin, recrd keeping. - Manage the Yuth Ministry budget accurately and efficiently and actively seek external fundraising pprtunities fr Cmmunity based wrk. 5. Supprting the wider wrk f St Andrew s Church - T wrk with the wider ministries f the church t ensure effective c-rdinatin f wrk with children, yung peple and families. - T wrk with clergy and ther staff t ensure the smth running f St Andrew s and the develpment f new initiatives as apprpriate. - Regular attendance at Sunday Services. - Participatin in church events.
