Want to Make a Difference? Become a New Member Sponsor Trinity is a large place with many small groups and ministries which provide community for those already connected to them. For folks who are new to our community, however, the sheer size of the congregation can make it easy to get lost and can make it difficult to break into the right life-giving small group for them. In response to this, we are reviving our New Member Sponsor Ministry. Our hope is that through a simple relationship and a familiar face, those who are new can more fully engage in the life-giving, and life-getting ministry here at Trinity! What is the commitment? We are asking those who step up to serve, to sponsor one household per year. This would include being present: -at one 2-hour new member orientation -at the worship service where we welcome new members -at one Sunday potluck with the new member household -throughout the year at Trinity and connecting a couple times by phone What is the role of the Sponsor? -to be a cultural translator, helping new members navigate Trinity -to be present and accompany new members through our new member process -to be a familiar face and friendly presence for new members To become a new member sponsor, please sign up on the clipboard on the Music on the Blacktop table in the Narthex, or sign your name below, and return this to the church office.
