He wanted to lead the Israelites to follow God with joy. David had a pure heart. When he did sin, he totally repented. This was a fulfilled promise to Abraham that kings would come from Abraham s seed. David s line becomes the special focus in God s plan of salvation.) 2) Do you feel joyful when you go to church just like David when he brought the Ark of the Covenant into Jerusalem? Why do you think David was joyful? (He loved God. He had the opportunity to lead the people to follow God.) 3) Do you think God would give you wisdom like he did to Solomon if you ask for it?
